- Woo hoo! My INR was 2.8 on Monday and my next appointment is three weeks out. It feels good to be back on track.
- Last week I noticed my left leg is quite larger in circumference than my right – by almost an inch! When I brought this up at my Monday appointment, the pharmacist told me the veins in your leg change when they have clots and it could be like that forever. Cool, cool.
- Yesterday was mani/pedi day with Lorena, and since it’s the last time I’ll see her before my birthday at the end of the month she paid for my mani as her gift to me. So sweet!!! And I love how it turned out!
- I’m on the vacation I’ve been (not so patiently) waiting for for months – in Guttenberg, Iowa with my family, and Val and Tiff and Tiff’s oldest son! I’ve been so excited to see them, share my happy place with them, and take a break from work (just one meeting today then I am FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!).

My lower left leg has been reconstructed with three plates and a lot of screws and it is noticeably a different size and shape than the other one. It’s been like this for just over a decade and while I am super self-conscious about it, no one has ever said anything to me about it, so it’s obviously a bigger deal to me than to anyone else in the whole world. Hopefully this comforts you that no one else will ever notice it!
