Notes:
- My runs felt more natural this week, yay! I did Friday’s run in the afternoon and it felt better than running in the morning – maybe my legs were more warmed up? They’re definitely stiff AF when I wake up.
- On Sunday’s run I went on the the single track trail in the preserve I always run in – but had never run on that part! It slowed me down but got me out of the wind, and I got to see where our dead end street buts up to the preserve. And the soft dirt felt so good to run on.
- I was looking at my workout log from this time last year and I was at 107 strength workouts as of 11/17/19, and today I am at 102 strength workouts. I am glad to see I am still doing them even though I no longer teach! (I was at 95% of strength workouts taught last year, and am at 22% now)
- Also compared to last year, I was at 247 runs – this year I’m at 186. That’s what two overuse injuries will do to you! And I was at 41 cross training workouts then, and am at 71 now – I am walking more since I am running less. I’m just glad to keep moving!
I can’t tell you how much I love that you’re getting outside with your Dad. I wish I could do that… my Dad was a P.E. teacher in high school and is still pretty fit physically (although I don’t think he’d run with me LOL)… I miss him.
Give your Dad an extra hug.
I feel very grateful that I can! I hope you have a chance to workout with your dad in a safer future <3
I will the next time I see him! He lives in Iowa and traveled here to help us install our siding. I don't know the next time we'll be together. 🙂
I’m so impressed with your consistency in your strength workouts! I dislike them and tend to only incorporate them 2x / week. I figure that’s better than nothing… right? 😉
And please hug your dad for me, too. I miss mine, as well.
2-3x a week is all I do as well, so our numbers are probably the same! It’s DEFINITELY better than nothing! I really miss working out with friends (when I taught them) but that is all I miss about it… seeing people. Ha.
I will the next time I see him and we’re all healthy! Where does your dad live?
