Notes:

  • My legs felt normal on my Tuesday run! Not a peep from my knee! I could even tell I was picking them up more, and shuffling yes. And running downhill didn’t make me feel stiff and stumble. Yay!
  • And same thing on Thursday! Yay yay yay! I ran with music instead of listening to podcasts and I wonder if that put a pep in my step.
  • And Saturday too! And I even ran on paved trail for a mile and it didn’t make my knee buckle. I ran by a group of women and said good morning and they asked if I was running alone. When I told them yes, they told me to “be safe” and I pulled out my pepper spray to show them, and we all laughed, and I also said “thanks, I will be.” I was running in a town that doesn’t have a great reputation… but really, running alone on isolated trails, I need to be aware of what’s going on all the time.
  • My Sunday strength session was leg focused and holy moly, they were definitely shaky for a bit after I was done! But I felt great on my run after, which is really encouraging. I haven’t run two days in a row in a while, but would like to, so I can start running four days a week.
