Highlight of the Week: Feeling sore from my strength workouts.

Notes:
- I felt sore from my strength workouts this week – yay! I’m going to tell myself it’s from working hard and not from slacking in previous strength workouts. Hee hee.
- Gah, I learned the hard way you can bonk a walk on Friday. I had a banana before I went, but at mile 2.7ish of 4 I was feeling super low on energy, and I already ate the emergency gel in my car a few weeks prior. Time to restock!
- My knee felt a lot better this week and I was thinking about treating myself to a run over the weekend, but when I got up Saturday I twisted it and it felt funky, so I thought I’ll just give it two full weeks of rest (until next Tuesday).
You got a lot of walking in! Smart of you to give your knee a full two weeks of rest – this way it will be able to get fully recovered, hopefully!
I slacked a lot last week on my workouts (was feeling like I might be coming down with something, so I took it a bit easier and skipped some workouts) but better today so I will probably feel sore, too, getting back to my normal routine!
I hope it is! It feels so much better. I’ve tested out running (like 5 seconds here in there, ha, and it feels fine).
You weren’t slacking – you were taking much needed rest. I am glad you feel better today!
