Notes:

  • Of course we had great (for July) running weather Monday and Tuesday morning. Sigh. Ha. I took a lot of rest this week due to running such high mileage last week, and my hip feeling a bit sore at the beginning of the week. My hip felt fine by the end of the week (yay!) but when I woke up Sunday with plans to run, I had a headache, saw lightening, and it was 82°F with a dew point of 71° before 5:00 am. So I said “eff it” and went back to bed.
  • My massage Wednesday felt so great. Kim told me it’s the tightest I’ve ever been. Oops. I think I was carrying a lot of stress in my upper body due to work.
  • I really struggled with running less this week. It makes me moody, and messes up my metabolism. I tend to eat less on the days I run – it’s some kind of appetite suppressant for me right now – I eat when I’m hungry, I just don’t snack as much. So this week I was being super snacky and didn’t like how that made me feel. Something to work on, as the next two weeks will be low mileage and less running because we’ll have house guests!!!
