We’ve got to hand it to the cats for making life so entertaining, especially during Illinois’s stay-at-home order. Apollo is by far the most ridiculous, and the biggest troublemaker. In the past week, he’s:

  • Found a way to participate in my friend’s conference calls. Apollo is very helpful during conference calls, providing his input by meowing when I am talking. Well, on Friday, he provided the same assistance to my friend Anne. I was adding the Houseparty app to my phone, and sent friend requests to the two friends I know have it, Anne being one of them. When she accepted the request, it started a video call between us, and guess what was going on at my house? Apollo was meowing loudly at me… while Anne was on a speakerphone work call at her house. Anne had to quickly figure out how to end the video call (spoiler: neither of us know how to use Houseparty) so the people on her work call didn’t hear Apollo. Oops.
  • Destroyed a gift for a friend. This one is my fault. I bought this wooden fox ornament for a friend and stupidly put it on the top of the bookcase, thinking it would be safe from the cats there. Well, it wasn’t, and apparently, it’s not even an ornament, it’s a cat toy. Apollo throws this thing around the house and has more fun with it than any other “toy” we have. Okay, then. You can have it, especially since you destroyed it.

  • Reinstated cat fight club. Doesn’t Khali look like the Pugeot lion? Buah ha ha. Apollo seems to be the instigator of every fight in the house. The girls have fun beating him up playing with him.

  • Continued to leave bath bombs in the tubSigh. I put a litter box in the bathtub so he’d STOP doing this and he used it for a while, then left the turds next to the box. Fantastic. We’re going to try some new litters to see if they make a difference.

We’ll see what antics the rest of the week being! Apollo’s such a fun dude and we wouldn’t change anything about him (except the bath bombs).
