- Yesterday was my first time commuting to the city for work since late June and all the noise and people was a bit overwhelming. I try to get away from it by listening to a podcast, but I can’t hear it over the noise (this was the case even before I started using bone conduction headphones). I’m fine, it was just jarring to experience it after a month off.
- Something exciting happened at work yesterday – one of our space planning contractors joined our office full time (well, that happened Monday but I saw her in the office yesterday)! I worked with her when I was in space planning and am so excited she works for us now. I gave her a big hug yesterday. (She actually works for the private firm I used to before I went to my agency).
- Back in January I bought a new desk chair because mine was too low and my dumb@ss got one that had a maximum height that is the low height of my old chair. D’oh. Anyway, that is a-ok now because I have a height adjustable desk and can lower it to the right height for my arms! Woo hoo!
BEFORE
AFTER – yeah, I need to organize our office
- I am so so so excited to organize the sticker binder my snis gave me! Hopefully this weekend! Ahh!
I love my standing desk! I need to use the standing part wayyyy more than I do but I like that I have the choice.
I am so glad I do not have to deal with a commute/office life on a regular basis. I can’t believe that’s something I used to do 5 days a week!
Yes! It’s so nice! I want to get a little treadmill for walking too! And now my desk is big enough for the cats to join… maybe π
It’s crazy, right? I can’t believe I did that all the way to the city for several years after I graduated. What a horrible existence (for me).
A height-adjustable desk and a good desk chair = gold!
I think you would DIE to see my work area. No external monitors. Nothing on the wall above my desk. About as utilitarian as you can get! I looked at your workspace and realized that huh, not everyone sets things up like I do! π
Ha, yeah, mine is chaotic! Yours sounds much more organized!
