- So many random things today. Let’s start with something sweet. It makes me so happy that Snow Jr stays close to the house and shows up for every meal. I like knowing he’s here and safe. It is not my goal to EVER have him live inside, but I will happily take care of him outside. Just look at him – you can almost see a smile on his face!
- Who else watched Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story? I think I liked it better than the first two Bridgertons!
- I have had 4 of my 5 (6?) free therapy sessions and my therapist confirmed my insurance covers her with a $20 copay. Yay! Great news! We were doing weekly and just switched to biweekly. It’s nice to make a list of things causing me anxiety then review them with her.
- I had this whole post drafted about communication being exhausting but it was just so negative. So I scrapped it, but one of the things I mentioned is that I’m asking less questions to end convos faster. Doesn’t that sound incredibly horrible? But I’m mostly doing it online in DMs so I spend more time in the real world (I’m also ignoring most reels sent to me on Instagram (except for from a few people) to save time – I had people who would send me a ton of them in a row).
- I can’t believe I never blogged about this – last September we had the plumbing in our basement rerouted so that the outside (hose) water comes directly from our well, rather than through our filter. Our well water is EXTREMLY sulfuric and we use a hydrogen peroxide filter to get most of the sulfur out of our water. We were watering our grass last year and the grass was getting all the nice filtered water, leaving the more sulfuric water for us to use inside the house, ick! I was just coming here to say I am so glad we did that, because we are watering the grass and garden now. When we do, it smells like rotten eggs outside for a bit, but better there, than in our drinking water, showers, laundry… you get the idea.
- I also didn’t blog much about how Steven’s beetn working so hard on the grass in our yard (see photo below)! We had it regraded in October of 2021, then Steven replanted and overseeded (or whatever) in 2022, and again some more this year, and it’s looking really nice! It seems like we just keep having things happen that tear it up – having trees removed, or driving the skid steer loader through the yard, or whatever – but Steven always fixes it up and makes it look nice again!
- Garden things:
- Steven put more fertilizer in the garden Sunday.
- He repotted some of our extra tomato plants Monday night (he put stakes in them too, but I like the photo above better). We gave some extra plants to my mom, some to our neighbor, and I will take some to Lorena… and I think we’ll still have a few left!
- Steven is also going to work on some modifications to the drip irrigation system.
- We love seeing our garden grow!
- And knock on wood but the critters have left it alone so far!
- I will forever share the Shitterly discount screenshot! Thanks for the heads up, Bobbi!

LOVED!!! Queen Charlotte. Not sure I loved it more than the first two but definitely at least as much. I really enjoy those series.
Yay, I am glad you liked it too!
I haven’t watched Queen Charlotte yet! It’s next on my list once I finish my rewatch of Happy Endings. I still have The Popcast’s episode on the pilot in my feed to listen to!
Look at sweet Snow Jr! I’m happy he visits you all the time, but don’t blame you for not bringing him inside. Haha.
A $20 copay for therapy is AMAZING! Hooray for affordable therapy!
I can only imagine how full your DMs are on Instagram! I find it exhausting to keep up with mine and I have soooooo much less engagement than you, haha.
I am curious to hear if you like it! I tend to wait to listen to things like that until after I have seen them too. Trying to decide if I will do that with Sweet Magnolias – I def haven’t seen that!
Way too many cats in this house already 😉
Yes! I was so so excited! My session this week was kind of hard because that thing had happened on Insta the day before but when she told me about the copay I immediately perked up LOL.
Thank you for saying that and making me feel seen about the DMs! It’s just something about lots of long form messages that weigh heavy on me.
$20 copay for your therapists! That’s a steal! It’s so hard to find someone that you click with, let alone someone that works with your insurance. So happy you can continue seeing her.
And I love that Steven puts so much work in your yard. It looks great!
Don’t get me started on “communication”… I had a whole week of issues where I was like “why is communicating well so hard for so many people??”?
It is! I felt so so good when she told me!
Thank you!
Oh gosh, I feel like we COULD converse on this since we both are federal employees LOL. My work has been hell for two weeks because of a big communication issue. Sigh.
Do not get me started on communication fails. What is wrong with people? Read what I wrote, respond in a reasonable period of time. What is so hard about this??? (Also, do we *really* have to have a meeting, when an email would work so much better?) Sigghhh…
But YAYAYAYAY for the insurance-covered therapist. You did this right by going through your work in the first place. I’m so glad you get to stay with the person who is making such a difference for you already. 🙂 <3
It sounds like we may be the same person here, LOL!
Thank you! I am so grateful for it!
