Just kidding. This is absolutely horrible. I am doing a paint pen giveaway on my @kimhidestherocks Instagram account, and this scam account is pretending to be me, and emailing people that they won and trying to get them to fill out some link. And maybe asking them for log-ins? UGH.
Someone told me they got to the part where they had to fill out their credit card info and stopped. UGH again.
They’ve blocked me (smart) but people have told me who is following them so I can warn them and I warned people in my stories and asked everyone to report them as impersonating me… I hope Instagram takes it down soon.
And I really really hope no one falls for it. I would feel horrible if they did!
Yeah, it seems once you host a giveaway on IG, you get targeted with clone accounts out the yin-yang. I’ve got a friend who has had no less than a dozen fake accounts made and reported. Put in your bio that you never request people to fill out a form or download an app to be part of your contests.

This is awful, Kim! I’m sorry this happened to you. I just reported them (and the other accounts) for impersonating you. 🙁 Hopefully, their accounts get removed soon.
Thank you for doing that! Instagram is telling everyone they don’t have time to look into them and they are following community standards so it looks like they aren’t going away. So I really really really hope no one falls for it!
