A few highlights from the weekend!

Thursday 

• Lunch with Steven. I had the afternoon off for my INR appointment and he suggested we meet so we got El Famous. Yum! (My INR was 2.1 – down a bit – so they bumped my meds up again)
• A nap after work. I had a headache most of the day and a chai and a nap helped.

Friday

• Chatting with an ex-coworker on my lunch break. She left in May and I miss her so much. It was good to video chat and we want to get together in December.
• Walking on the treadmill and watching From Scratch. Is anyone else watching it? I remember liking the book but not much of what happened other than big plot points. I am really enjoying the show.
• Watching Scrooged. Ha, this movie is so ridiculous, but I was excited to kick off watching Christmas movies!

Saturday

• Breakfast sandwiches by Steven.
• Walking on the treadmill and watching more From Scratch.
• Painting and watching Christmas Vacation.
• Snow Junior staying in the outdoor cat house when it was so cold (the photo above of him outside is from Sunday when it was warmer). The temperature dropped into the teens on Saturday night and I was happy to see him staying in there where it was in the high 40s/low 50s. Steven also put out the heated water bowl so his water won’t freeze (it had been!).
• Watching Passengers and painting. We did a lot of watching that day. Chill day! (We did leave and get groceries but that is not a highlight – it was bonkers out, probably because Thanksgiving is this week.)
• A package arriving from my friend Lauren in Australia! I previewed it Saturday night but finished opening it Sunday when I could actually see what was inside. Ha, she chatted me and asked “did my package come yesterday?” and I told her no and she was worried – the tracking said it had! Then we figured out the tracking said the 19th, which had been yesterday for her, but it was still Saturday for me, ha!

Sunday

• Fake bacon and hashbrowns by Steven.
• Opening Lauren’s gift. She sent everything in the photo below!!!! What a sweet gift! She made the kicker and the headband, and painted the rocks (one for me to keep, one to hide, and two to take to Sip & Purr). I feel so lucky I’ve made so many new friends this year.

• Taking a bath. Originally, I got out presents and wrapping paper to wrap holiday gifts but was NOT feeling it. Ick. The bath was better.
• Lunch out (BK!) and picking up Steven’s ring. He had his wedding ring resized so he can wear it again.
• Deciding to quit publishing my training recaps as public and make them private. No one cares but me and I was putting effort in to making little photos collages and it was not bringing me joy anymore. Now I will just have a little written log.
• A video call with my snister to see all the Polly Pockets she scored! She got 27 vintage Polly Pockets for $20 on Facebook Marketplace! INSANE! I am so excited for her. She and Ella (and Dexter and William) showed me all of them.

• Painting one rock after dinner.
• Going to bed early. I was exhausted for no good reason – I hardly did anything and felt like I wasted a lot of the day. Oh well.

Lowlights

• Trying to fit in resin on Sunday and there not being enough sunlight for the UV to cure and getting a thumb print in it. Grr. I need to resin midday.
