I took most of these three weeks off (July 25 – August 14), first for my foot, then for being sick. I rode RAGBRAI on July 30th (recap here) and went on a 2.3 mile walk yesterday and a 3.1 mile walk today. I’m really craving exercise and being outside so I hope I can start getting back out there more regularly. My foot and leg are still goofy, but I am not in pain – just uncomfortable from time to time. I have an appointment with my doctor on September 2.

Notes:

  • I received a new Garmin, the Forerunner 255, for my birthday and it’s been fun to start to use it this weekend as I walk.
  • Monthly recap! In July I ran 34.5 miles (6 runs). I stopped running on July 12th when my ankle started hurting. My coldest run was 59°F and my warmest was 76°F. I walked 4 times and biked 5 times. I did one event – RAGBRAI Day 7.
