- I am teaching another class at Sip & Purr on June 11th! We’ll be painting my abstract cats, which I think are pretty simple and accessible to paint. I am also working on a donation for them and have 28 rocks painted so far.
- Ahh! My Instagram friends are sending me things all the time! This package just came from Germany. This person had their 3-year-old make the little paper cat! How cute is that?
- We had our first visit to Scoops in Kenosha for the season, on a day where the temp dropped and I had to wear gloves to hold my shake! Ha!
- I mentioned in my training recap that my left calf hurt, which I thought was from siting on the train, so I was really careful with it on my train ride yesterday! It still doesn’t feel right.
- I already had hardly ANY notifications turned on on my phone – just ones for text and messenger – and I turned off most of those this week (I just get a notification on my lock screen, and on the app badge). I get so annoyed when I am doing something on my phone and notifications keep popping up at the top of the screen that someone is messaging me. So now I respond to messages a lot later since I am not seeing them, but I feel a bit more sane. I tried to turn the push notifications off on Instagram but it just doesn’t work. I have them all turned off and still get them. Sigh. Those only show up when I am in the app though.
- Kind of funny to put this comment at the bottom of a lot of text, but I struggle to read long emails or articles or posts now. I just look at it and am like, “ugh, too much.” I think this is just a product of the pandemic and writing so many long emails to stay in touch with people at the start. I definitely don’t do much of that anymore.

You always get the nicest presents from your Instagram friends!
Thanks to you, I’ve turned off a lot of notifications from my phone and that has been so nice. I didn’t realize how much those notifications were disrupting me! I’m really bad at responding to texts in a timely manner but it’s something I don’t apologize for. Why do we feel like we have to be super-duper responsive 24/7? I’ll get to it when I get to it. (Am I a horrible person?? Maybe.)
Right? I feel so lucky!
Aww yay, I am so glad that’s been a nice change for you! Yay yay yay! You do NOT have to apologize and are not a horrible person. If something is urgent, they will call (and that will get ignored muah ha ha).
I love these cat rocks! So cool!
Also, how do you like the “Maoam” chews? I just brought some back from Germany. I love them.
Thank you!
I hadn’t tried them yet because I hadn’t looked up ingredients but it looks like they have gelatin in them, and I don’t eat that so I will have to give them to someone who does! 🙂
