- When I woke up last Thursday my left wrist was sore. I always sleep with my watch on (my left wrist), but decided not to that night, and the following nights, and I’ve been sleeping much better. I wonder if it has anything to do with the watch… of if it’s just in my head. Whatever it is, I’ll take it!
- Pusheen Box sent a spoiler email with the photo of the spring box vinyl and it’s SO CUTE!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
- Work announced a new back to office date for us – the week April 11th. I don’t mind going back to the office once a week – I look forward to seeing everyone! But of course, my mind immediately went to how busy my April is, ha. The month will go by fast!
- We had a small success with Ned this week. I was able to share one of these squeeze tubes with him and Khali, and somewhat, him and Apollo. Of course, the next time I tried he came out and swatted Apollo. But the trio doesn’t run away from him as far, so that’s a good sign.
- The Feline the Love Challenge I cohosted on Instagram in February was such a success! I cohosted a challenge from November 1 to January 2 that really wore me out and I was worried this one would be the same but it was the opposite and I met a ton of cool people. Yay!
- It’s been two years (and two days) since I was on a plane! Nutso! (Apparently I wrote about this a year ago, too. Ha ha.)
- We had the mildest winter with hardly any snow. So strange. Chicago got pounded a few times and it completely missed us!
- I saw Lorena for my mani/pedi last night and love how it turned out! But of course, every photo I tried to take of it looks horrible.

“Chicago got pounded a few times and it completely missed us!” TWSS
Good one, Matt π
I’m glad you guys had a mild winter but man, it makes me so nervous when the Midwest has a mild winter. Eeks – climate change is no joke!
Man, I can’t imagine going back into an office! I think I could handle one day a week, but that’s about it. I’m glad I can be fully remote.
I love your nails! What a cool pattern. You should see my mom try to show me her nails through Facetime. It makes me giggle – she can’t figure out how to make them appear on the screen!
I know. I feel bad every time I write about how happy I am for a weird weather shift because I am always thinking “it should not be like this.” It was in the high 60s here Saturday. It’s snowing right now.
I wish they would have given us that option! I really feel like we are going in just to go in, and be social.
Thank you! OMG, I do want to see that. Ha ha ha ha ha. Is your mom a chin FaceTimer – you mostly see her from that angle?
Sorry to hear about the back-in-the-office date. It seems like being at home is really working for you – you didn’t seem to miss the commute, that’s for sure!
I am already stressing about fall – it sounds like we are going back to in-person meetings. Sigh. Zoom works so much better for me! I get way too anxious being in the room with people and I usually don’t contribute as much (or at all). I’m going to advocate for keeping an online option for when people are sick, or traveling. We’ll see how well that goes over… π
And yay, Ned! One teeny tiny step forward…
Oh yeah, the commute is horrible, but I knew that when we moved to this location, ha! That will be the hardest part.
I really hope people can still be remote in those situations! Especially when they ae sick. If we learned anything from this, please let it be hygiene and staying home (if you can) when you don’t feel well.
I have a harder time getting anything in on online meetings, and think in person will be better for me. But also know that it does not make sense to go into the office when I have a day full of meetings (because they would just be a virtual meeting, in the office, so I am going to try to go in on light meeting days). I was actually thinking about writing a post about how I can’t seem to get a word in on most calls, even the ones I’m leading. I am just over fighting to have my voice heard π
