A few highlights from the weekend! I am still on a high from teaching my class and my parents surprising me. You can read more about that here.
Thursday
- Getting a massage and having my sprained ankle worked. My ankle felt a lot better after that!
- Seeing my rock in the Starbucks drive through and giving the barista one. I hid a rock in the tip jar at this Starbucks on September 2nd and it’s still there, so I was telling her how I painted it and she said how everyone comments on it (which made me feel good!), and I offered her one of my cat rocks in the car and she was really excited about it. Yay!
- Seeing Lorena for a mani and doing a fun Halloween design.
Friday
- Having the day off.
- Breakfast sandwiches by Steven.
- Seeing Ned again. I was worried when we hadn’t seen him in a week!
- Getting ready for my painting class. That mostly involved priming a TON of paint pens.
- Watching Beetlejuice and the first episode of Squid Game (so many of the TV shows we like are coming back – Succession, You, Billions… exciting!)
- Getting some last minute rocks painted to donate to Sip & Purr.
- The cats sleeping with me because it got so cold. I love having the bedroom so cold when I sleep!
Saturday
- Going back to bed after getting up too early.
- Making brunch.
- Getting THE perfect parking spot at Sip & Purr to unload everything to teach.
- Mom and Dad surprising me by coming to my “Learn to Paint Rocks with Cats” class (read more here!).
- Teaching the class and the students loving it and creating beautiful art!
- Katy (Sip & Purr founder/owner) saying she’d love to have me teach another class.
- Visiting with my friend Cassie a bit after class (she came to the class).
- Having one-on-one time with my mom as we drove to El Famous.
- Dinner at El Famous with Steven and Mom and Dad. I am so glad Steven got to see them too!
- Putting away all of the stuff from class. Ha, that took at least an hour. I had to reorganize all the paint pens. I couldn’t go to bed with them unorganized!!!!
Sunday
- Seeing some classic cars before my run.
- Having a great run.
- Seeing Bobbi’s cats (I checked in on them a few times while she was out of town).
- Getting a commission order done.
- Catching up on a few chores.
- Pasta night.
Sounds like a great weekend. I love how you keep painting and distributing your awesome rock art.
Thank you! I am still loving it! I am thinking about making some running ones today to celebrate my November runniversary!
What a great weekend! The barista at Starbucks probably felt like she was meeting a local celebrity when she saw the famous tip jar rock painter 🙂 How fun!!
NED!!!
Aww, thanks for saying that!!!!:D
Ned is so cute! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Every time I go into the bathroom to check in on him he’s all purrs and biscuits.
