Notes:

  • I was in a mood after work Monday and decided to try to run. My knee felt mostly decent, yay! But I was so, so, so annoyed with the flies flying in circles around my head. OMFG. That just made my mood a bit worse, even though I got to run. And my calves were sore, which they never are – maybe from cycling?
  • I was brave and got my road bike outside on Tuesday, and it feels so much easier and faster to ride than the mountain bike. I got a strange headache while I was riding though. At first I thought it was due to the heat, but it happened again on my Saturday ride, so maybe it’s due to the helmet?
  • My knee decided to really ache Thursday through Saturday so that’s fun. I have an appointment with a sports medicine doctor tomorrow. I really miss running, but also, it’s been super hot (highs in the high 80s/low 90s) and it’s nice to ride my bike in that heat instead of running. I’m glad cycling is not bothering my knee like I thought it would! It is making my calves sore though – I keep increasing the height on the mountain bike seat when I use it, but I think it’s sliding down. Ha. I have a massage on Thursday and that will help.
  • I wanted to do another ride Sunday but I lifted then helped Steven build shelves at his new warehouse for 3 hours and was a bit spent. And it was 89°F. Oops.
