Notes:

  • I FINALLY found a sports bra to replace all my old running sports bras (and whoa, they needed to be replaced – some where from 2015!!!) – the Senita Athletics Sarah Sports Bra. It’s got enough support (including removable padding, which is new to me), but doesn’t cover too much of my chest, and… it’s only $26!!! It has a built-in pocket in the back for my phone, which I’ve been trying out. The bluetooth doesn’t cut out when it’s there (yay!), but it’s awkward to get out (boo!), and my phone makes my back hot (eye roll). I’m going to keep trying it there though, to see if I get used to it.
  • I also found a handheld water bottle to replace my old ones that are falling apart and incredibly stinky – the CamelBak Quick Grip Chill Handheld Hydration Pack (not an affiliate link). It’s comfortable and holds 17 ounces of water. And the pocket is big enough to hold my iPhone 8 (but I don’t want the weight of it in my hand).
  • I love that the weather is cool enough for a handheld! Ha, not that I got up early enough this week to enjoy the temps in the 40s.
  • It was nice to see some lower paced miles this week and last week. I think my body is getting used to running again (I have absolutely no hip pain) and cooler temps and running shorter mileage help as well!
  • I did my first run from the house this week (I’d been driving to trails since I hurt my hip) and it felt fine to run on the road.
