Notes:
- Cristobol didn’t do much damage with wind or rain, but it did give us some nasty humid tropical weather on Wednesday. Ick! That run was horrible! I am glad I thought ahead to do my midweek long run the day before.
- The rest of the weather this week was AMAZING though. I felt so good on my runs. I am definitely going to look back at this week fondly when the weather turns to sh*t in the summer.
- I think I write this comment around the same time every year as I am using my hydration vest more – since I can’t gulp water out of it like I can my hand held, I feel like I drink water more evenly out of it.
- Steven and I decided we wanted to do the 30 Day Shred, that old Jillian Michaels workout that was super popular in the mid aughts. We were brainstorming how to watch it like “well, we have the DVD, can we rip it to our network then play it on our ROKU?” Then Steven was looking it up online and the digital copy was only $6. Ha ha ha. So we just bought it. And yeah, that workout still kicks my butt!
- The bra and shorts I’ve been using for years are no longer available so I ordered new ones to try and tested them out this weekend. The bra is totally not high impact or meant for running, but worked fine for me since I ordered a size smaller and it squeezed everything in, muah ha ha. I just need to use a bit more Vaseline next time. The shorts are AMAZING – 7″ inseam, drawstring, and pockets?! They are UNICORN shorts. And of course, as soon as I ordered them, they sold out. I’m glad I ordered three pairs! All my old ones STINK and have so many holes… they need to go in the trash.
- The forest preserve is officially opening the bathrooms back up tomorrow! Woot! Most of the bathrooms on the trails are pit toilets with saloon style doors, and people quickly broke through the closure signs holding the doors shut. And I did use them – I just brought my own TP and hand sanitizer. I am glad they will be stocked and cleaned again! And that I won’t be breaking the rules anymore because I’m a rule follower, and this was bothering me, eek!
OMG the 30 Day Shred!!! That workout kicked my butt too, it’s a great formula. And yes, I still have the dvd myself, I guess I could play it on my old laptop that still had a dvd slot… Good for you guys for doing it again!
That’s great the public bathrooms on the trail are going to open up – so annoying when they are closed. We did a 12 km walk yesterday and a public bathroom we were counting on being able to use was closed, so we had to pee in the woods – I hate doing that but if you gotta go, you gotta go…
I don’t recall if I ever even made it to Level 3. Just doing Level 1 this week was challenging! You totally have to tell me if you do it again!
Yep, what else are you supposed to do?! Were you carrying TP? I carry it all the time now! Ha.
