• I forgot to share this picture of Apollo on a video call with me last week. That swagger! He made my coworkers laugh.

  • I was worried about the wind from Tropical Storm Cristobol this week so we brought our lawn furniture in. It was great to be able to store it in Dragonstone! I used to carry that stuff downstairs and it was a complete pita. Taking it to Dragonstone, while farther, was much easier.
  • We’ve been talking to our newest next door neighbor a lot. We plan to hang out, outside, with him and his wife when we all feel comfortable with it. Anyway, we were on a walk Monday night and he was outside playing his guitar so we went over and he played us a song. How fun! It’s so great to have next door neighbors we like (on both sides)!
  • Starbuck is NOT food motivated like Apollo and Khali, and how Data was. The cats get dry food then wet food in the morning, and she often leaves after eating her dry food and I have to find her and put her in front of the bowl for her wet food. No wonder she’s so smöl.

  • Have you noticed you can’t find some specialty flavors of foods you like? For me, it’s been All Dressed Ruffles – they haven’t been available since the start of our stay-at-home order. This article (pdf here) gives some insight – to respond to the massive spike in demand due to COVID-19, companies switched production to focus mostly on their most popular products. Makes sense. At least I still have my Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos.

  • We’ve finished Homeland and started watching Billions. It’s basically a soap opera of rich, powerful people using their money and power to screw other people over. I find it amusing. I also keep calling Damian Lewis “Brody” since that was his name on Homeland.
  • I took a one week break from social media by deleting Facebook and Instagram from my phone (I did check in once or twice a day to see if anyone was trying to contact me or tagged me… so not a real break). It felt good.
