Notes:
- I worked out with friends one-on-one this week, and it was so nice to visit with someone in person!!!! I didn’t work out with other people (other than teaching 2-3 times a week) much before this, but now it feels really special since we’ve been socially distancing since mid March.
- Two of my social workouts were walks with Bobbi. Ha, the sole of my right foot hurt right after the first one! I think because I wore a pair of running shoes that I’ve already worn out the outer heal on. I need walking shoes! I wore new shoes on our Friday walk and felt fine.
- I was really dreading our high temps this week but my workouts weren’t horrible – maybe since I did them in the morning and the humidity was low and the dew point wasn’t high. I hope our hot days are like that for as long as possible.
- National Running Day was Wednesday and I pledged to run ten miles for my work team (for our entire company). We had a branch meeting that morning and the person organizing the pledges was on the call and said “Is the Kim who pledged to run 10 miles on?” I told him yep and that I ran them this am and I got all these nice chats from coworkers. Aww.
- We had gorgeous running weather this weekend. Just gorgeous! I felt great on my run with Rachel (ha, we kept having to tell each other to slow down because we’d get so excited talking to each other and speed up!) and on my Sunday run too.
Hooray for great weather and seeing friends!!!
Ten miles for Global Running Day (I think they switched from National last year?) is amazing! Nice that your coworkers acknowledged your achievement, too.
We are hitting 100% humidity with temps in the mid to high 70s at 6:00 am. It’s gross and hard to muster up the will to walk knowing how sweaty I’ll get. Somehow I can accept it more for running, but walking? Meh.
Yeah, they def switched from National to Global this year or last year. I wonder what deals went around on the day this year – it usually a day to sign up for races for a discount. LOLOL. And thanks!
I totally get that! Somehow it feels more miserable walking in that.
