We’ve got to hand it to the cats for making life so entertaining, especially during Illinois’s stay-at-home order. Apollo is by far the most ridiculous, and the biggest troublemaker. In the past week, he’s:
- Found a way to participate in my friend’s conference calls. Apollo is very helpful during conference calls, providing his input by meowing when I am talking. Well, on Friday, he provided the same assistance to my friend Anne. I was adding the Houseparty app to my phone, and sent friend requests to the two friends I know have it, Anne being one of them. When she accepted the request, it started a video call between us, and guess what was going on at my house? Apollo was meowing loudly at me… while Anne was on a speakerphone work call at her house. Anne had to quickly figure out how to end the video call (spoiler: neither of us know how to use Houseparty) so the people on her work call didn’t hear Apollo. Oops.
- Destroyed a gift for a friend. This one is my fault. I bought this wooden fox ornament for a friend and stupidly put it on the top of the bookcase, thinking it would be safe from the cats there. Well, it wasn’t, and apparently, it’s not even an ornament, it’s a cat toy. Apollo throws this thing around the house and has more fun with it than any other “toy” we have. Okay, then. You can have it, especially since you destroyed it.
- Reinstated cat fight club. Doesn’t Khali look like the Pugeot lion? Buah ha ha. Apollo seems to be the instigator of every fight in the house. The girls have fun beating him up playing with him.
- Continued to leave bath bombs in the tub. Sigh. I put a litter box in the bathtub so he’d STOP doing this and he used it for a while, then left the turds next to the box. Fantastic. We’re going to try some new litters to see if they make a difference.
We’ll see what antics the rest of the week being! Apollo’s such a fun dude and we wouldn’t change anything about him (except the bath bombs).
I’m sorry, but I’m laughing hysterically at the last bullet point. He’s just like, “Nice try, Mom.” Ahahahahaha.
Lila is the instigator in my house. π She’ll just jump on Ellie when Ellie is just laying around or sleeping. Goober.
Sigh, I know! Every morning, there is poop in the same spot. Sigh. Ha.
LOL! There is always one!!!!
I love that cat fight photo! He sounds like quite the handful π
That photo is making us laugh SO HARD. Khali looks like a human in a cat costume, or a little bear or something.
He sure is!
Khali looks like a sumo wrestler to me! And the way Apollo swiped the ornament made me laugh…hey lady, you left it there for me to find. Cat scavenger hunts are REAL.
Doesn’t she?! She is always down for a fight.
Ha, the detail I didn’t put in there is that Starbuck is always the one to get it down off the top of the bookcase. I am not sure if Apollo asks her to do his dirty work, or if she does it on her own… but yes, they ARE real! They will find ANYTHING!
Khali TOTALLY looks like the Peugeot lion! All she needs to do is curl her tail up and it would be completely spot on! I love that she even has the little paw tilt down perfectly. If this whole house cat thing doesn’t work out, she should consider a career in modeling.
You mean, MEOWdeling? Ha ha ha ha. Sigh, it’s been a day.
Now I know the true meaning of “cat fight”! LOL!
Yes you do! Funny thing, Data was an only child for so long that when Khali came in and they started play fighting I had to text a friend with two cats to ask if it was normal. It is!
Okay, leaving turds in a bathtub? Come ON, Apollo! Not cool!
Is Khali that much chunkier than Apollo, or is her position in the “fight”? She looks so round (and also like the lion).
Sigh, I know. He’s cut back on it. It was every day and now it’s every other day or third day. As I’m typing this I just heard him knock something over in there though…
She is bigger, but it’s mostly her position that is making her look so large and in charge. That photo makes us laugh so hard because she looks so big! She looks like a little teddy bear. Or a person in a cat costume. RAWR.
