- In the past few weeks I’ve been around people younger than me who’ve let me know that my use of lingo and trying to be hip is lame. Ha! Ha ha ha. But it feels natural to me!
- A neighbor of ours is always texting whenever we see them driving on our street and around town. It really bugs me, as I run a lot in the areas they drive in. On Sunday, they were driving in the shoulder (on a road a few miles from our house) I was running in and finally saw me there and moved back in to their lane. On Monday, they were driving down the wrong side of our street, as Steven was driving in it, and again, saw him and moved. What about when they don’t see someone? GET OFF YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING, PEOPLE.
- I’ve started to receive EOBs and bills for my Immediate Care visit in December and of course, it’s confusing AF. I know it’s like this for everyone – I just want to complain about it. Nothing is ever straight forward with this stuff. Sigh.
- Another complaint – I despise my Monday schedule. I work all day, try to fit a run in, rush off to teach, teach, come home, scarf down a late dinner, and go to bed. No downtime unless I skip my run. Ugh. Just wah.
- I want to be as content as I was on the day Khali returned home, without having to have her run away to feel that. I haven’t felt that content since. Nothing bothered me that day.
- Although I’ve been up with her and Apollo at 3:30 am every day this week so I’m annoyed with them. And tired.
- I forgot to mention last week, I did the Apple iOS update and now have the OTTER EMOJI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!
- Look at this creepy mail we got – no return address, and they put a photo of your home ON THE ENVELOPE to pique your curiosity and get you to open it to see what the hell it is. It’s some insurance offer. No thanks. Someone thought they were really clever with this, and it did get me to open it, but it creeped me out too much.

It is as illegal as HELL to text or even talk on your phone when driving!! They need to STOP or be told to STOP by an officer!! MORONS!! They need to pay a hefty fine!
Deciphering medical bills is always confusing. I don’t get why they can’t make it more simple to understand for those of us that didn’t go to coding or transcription school! So frustrating!!

The creepy mail would freak me out to the point of contacting them and telling them it did. Although it is doubtful they would give two sh**s about it. Your house is kind of back in a wooded area, right? So they would have had to drive back in there to get the picture. Very creepy.

Yes it is illegal here in IL to use your phone in a non hands free way which this person definitely is I have thought about turning them in, for safety reasons. LOL. I won’t.

So I opened the mail and there is a picture of our house with a time stamp on the letter saying “we got this here and did not visit your property.” And I am still like, wtf who is taking pics of my house?! We do live back in the woods! You can’t see our house like that from the street.

What on EARTH is wrong with your neighbor?!? I will NEVER understand how people can’t just freaking wait when it comes to texting! Who cares about it being illegal – it’s SO DANGEROUS that even if it weren’t, you shouldn’t be doing it anyway. Ugh. People.

I don’t understand texting while driving either. What is that important? If it is, call the person through your car (which isn’t great, but is better)!

That’s so frustrating about your neighbor! I really hate when I watch Instagram Stories of people while they’re driving. Like, nothing you say is THAT important that you need to say it while you’re on the road. I always want to comment and tell them to stop but I haven’t yet. Maybe someday! They’re going to hurt someone eventually and it’s ridiculous that the situations you mentioned haven’t given them cause to stop! What. The. Hell.
I work in digital marketing and lemme tell you, we have some really creepy ways for companies to track their customers or potential customers. We had a meeting about all the different ways we can help companies track stuff of their customers, and I remember a bunch of us being like, “This is SUPER creepy.” So it doesn’t surprise me about that letter! Technology is getting way too advanced, eeks.
I hate that in stories too. And I see it so often! They made that illegal here on Jan 1 – driving and making a video or watching a video. How dumb that it had to be MADE IN TO A LAW. Sigh. I hope my neighbor stops, and not for a really bad reason – like they come to their senses.
I appreciate you sharing that insight re: digital marketing! I figured there was a committee somewhere where someone thought this was a good idea. They needed people like you and your coworkers saying “super creepy!” Lol. Maybe it worked on enough people to make it worth it.
