Notes:

  • I’m really not feeling the lack of daylight this winter. It usually doesn’t bother me this much, but I’m annoyed that if I run before or after work, it’s mostly in the dark. At least it’s getting a little lighter, each day.
  • Gah, my Morton’s toes are not happy. I was running less so I was keeping my toenails longer but now those nails are hitting the insides of my shoes, and ouch. I trimmed them, but the damage is done!
  • We had crap weather predicted for the weekend, and luckily, I was able to do my long run Friday before it hit (that was my longest run since mid September, eek!). I ran a route I hadn’t in a while, and whoa, it’s really different – a lot of industrial warehouses are being built along the road. It was like running through a construction zone, and I kept getting rocks in my shoes. Gaiters on all long runs, moving forward!
  • I saw something really sad with an animal I couldn’t help during that run. Sigh. I never forget that stuff. It breaks my heart.
  • I didn’t plan to take both weekend days off but… I’m lazy! And my left foot was stiff from my Friday run, so why not rest… ha.
