- Bobbi and I got to see Kelly on Saturday (she was in Ohio and drove over for the weekend)! Kelly was my running training partner until she moved in July 2015. We used to run together 2-3 times a week before work and we’d talk about EVERYTHING during those runs. She is the last person I’ve been that close with, and seen that often. <— more of a comment on the closeness of training partners than anything else
- There are so many work complaints I want to make but it’s just NOT appropriate. I will say this though – I keep meticulous notes and am super organized (at work…). If you tell me something then renege on it and act like the first conversation never happened, I will have notes that it did. And probably emails. So don’t mess with me. Ha, I added this to this post a week ago and there’s been so many things since then, my annoyance at this has definitely died down.
- I was so exited that I didn’t have an entire week full of meetings this week, and could actually get stuff done Monday and Tuesday! Woot! (I had meetings all day yesterday and fell behind again, but it was nice to feel okay for a minute!)
- Gmail removed the “mark as unread” option from the drop down menu last week and just left the “mark as unread” button. It had me so confused. It’s ingrained in my fingers to mark something as unread from the menu, NOT the button, and I kept accidentally clicking “mark as unimportant” (which is what is on the menu in its spot now). I’m getting better though. Ha, edited to add, they changed this back today!
- I love my B&BW candles, but man, do they leave soot on the walls! I didn’t know how bad it was until I was cleaning this week and realized those shadows were NOT shadows after all.
Ha, these are actual shadows though.
- Ha, my coworkers didn’t know meaning #2 here of “thirsty,” but now they do. Yesterday one coworker was making some super innocent comment about her cats being thirsty and of course I was giggling and had to explain why. Note to self: apologize to coworkers for being so obnoxious yesterday.
- Many of you were wondering – yes, we did go see Men in Black: International, and yes, it was meh. Just dull. I only laughed a few times (and it was at a CGI character!). I think I wanted it to be funny like Thor: Ragnarock, since it had the same two main actors! Note to self: rewatch Thor: Ragnarock (I have it on my phone! I could watch it right now on the train!).
- I’ve had a lot in the back of my mind that is inspiring posts this week but that I’m not including in the posts. I wonder if I’l remember all that if I ever reread these posts down the road. Probably.
- And one last totally random thing – our garbage day got moved from Monday to Wednesday and it’s SO STRANGE to get garbage and recycling together Tuesday night instead of Sunday night. We’ve had a Monday garbage day since I moved to Chicagoland in 2003! Times, they’re a changing.
Ugh, I hear you on the work complaints! I’m always too scared to even bring up work on my blog for fear someone I work with is reading it, haha. But I’m also a meticulous note-keeper and I can’t tell you how many times I have to go back through my emails to tell someone “nope, you said this and this is when you said it.” ARGH. Solidarity, sister.
Sorry MIB was such a let-down! Movies like that should have more than a couple of laughs! Womp.
Do you think anyone at work knows about your blog? A few of my good friends know about mine but I doubt they read it. Cause, zzzzz. Ha.
Ahh, it feels good to have you relate. I was LIVID last week when this came up. Then I felt bad, like maybe I wasn’t being considerate enough of someone who might be having memory issues BUT WTF YO.
They should! And we know they have chemistry from the other movie! Le sigh.
I didn’t even consider that the leads in MIB are the same as in Thor: Ragnarok! That WOULD be a huge disappointment for it to not be funny, in that case! That’s definitely why I like Thor: Ragnarok so much.
That movie is just SOOOOOOO funny!!!! I think one of my fave characters it the rock dude that the director voiced 🙂
I was so excited to see Chris and Tessa together for another movie again (yes, we’re on a first name basis, haha), but sighhhhhhhh. Too bad MIB is just not good. Yes to rewatching Thor: Ragnarok, and I wonder when Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will come out – I bet they both will be in that one, yipee!
Dang, I wish we were on a first name basis!!!
Ahh cool! I didn’t know there would be a third. I just saw the preview for the new Spiderman movie that comes out next week – I am behind with Marvel!
Too bad that MIB was a disappointment, but at least we’ll always have the comedic work of genius that is “Thor: Ragnarok.”
I think I told you this but someone at work used “thirsty” to describe “hungry for knowledge” the other day, and I had to try not to laugh.
Yes!
OMG. Did you tell them how it MIGHT be interpreted? HA HA HA HA HA
