Notes:
- I actually did my speedwork first thing this week! Woo hoo! My splits were all over the place because of an incline on my route, and running in slippery snow, but whatevs!
- How do I forget, every year, how much cold weather running messes up my stomach? I did NOT feel awesome after my run on Thursday! But again, whatevs.
- When I was walking toward the weather station in the kitchen Saturday morning, I thought it said 14°F. I wondered to myself why Rachel and I thought it would be too cold to run outside. Then when I got closer I saw it said -14°F. Ha, that would be why. I couldn’t see the negative sign before.
- We had a good long run, on the indoor track at the RecPlex! I’m so glad I bought those passes for these super cold days! And so glad Rachel could join me! We chatted the whole time.
- I felt way too lazy to run Sunday, but runner logic got me outside. We’re gonna get 6-8 inches of snow tonight, then the temps are going to drop (our high Wednesday is -14°F), so I should get outside when I can, right?! I am not a good treadmill runner (but I will do it when it’s that cold!).
EGAD, minus 14 degrees?? That’s a stay in bed day for me! Huddle under the covers with all the pets. Shelter in place! The fact that you went out to the gym to run is very impressive to me.
Aww, thanks 🙂 I did hide under the covers for an hour later that day!
I don’t know how you run when its that cold and you have even colder weather coming!!!!!! Be careful.
Layers, layers, layers! And hot baths! Don’t worry, I am staying inside for the super cold!
