Do you tie and untie your tennis shoes when you take them on and off? Or do you tie them once, leave them tied, then slip them on and off?
Every morning, I slip on my loose, but already-tied Sauconys. Why am I too lazy to untie them when I get home in the evening, and re-tie them in the morning? I don’t know.
I handle my running shoes with a little more care – I do tie and untie those. I guess I think that is better on them? That it will keep them lasting longer? Who knows.
It’s funny because most of my shoes are slip-ons, so they’re pretty “loose” on my feet. But when it comes to tennis shoes if they aren’t laced up really tight it bugs the crap outta me. So I tie and untie every time I put them on.
I leave my shoes tied and slip them on and off. I started doing this when they made you start taking your shoes off at the airport. It kind of stuck, now I do it all the time.
at night when i take my shoes off i just slip them off, i would guess 99% of the time i never un-tie them when i take them off… in the mornings though i always un-tie and re-tie them… you would think it would save time (and make sense) to just un-tie them when i took them off but nope, that’s not how i roll….
=^..^=
I NEVER untie my sneakers! I am so lazy!
I ALWAYS untie my shoes and it makes me crazy to see my daughter just slipping hers off. I don’t say anything but something about it just makes my skin crawl.
I never untie my sneakers….I am def. on the lazy end of the spectrum!!
Congrats on the runner moving 3 lbs closer to your goal π
I dont untie my sneakers when I take them off, but I will untie the tied sneakers before I put them back on. I hate loose sneakers!
I HATE tying my shoes. But, I do it. Only when I put them on. I slip them off though.
Usually I will leave them tied and just yank them off π I’m not too gentle with my shoes, I guess!
Lisa – Sometimes I notice mine getting to loose so I actually tie and untie them. That is a funny feeling, when you have extra space in a shoe that is supposed to be tight!
Dave2 – Ah, the airport. I accidentally wore flip flops to the airport once this summer. NOT doing THAT again! π
CourtneyInControl – Sometimes in the evening, it feels better to rush through things and just relax! I think that is why I just slip mine off – I want to get inside the house and eat and see Steven!
marissa – Hee hee. It’s okay! π
tori – LOL! You crack me up. Does only one daughter do it? Hee hee hee.
Felicia – Thank you! π
Gina (Mannyed) – It seems this is what about half of the people do! Hmm. Maybe I should do that. It would make getting them on in the morning easier!
Kyra – Do you hate the bending over part? That is what I hate! Ha ha!
Bethany – As long as they stay together, it’s no biggie! π
Good question! I have succumbed to the “slip on” brown leather shoes, or Dansko clogs- slip on. Gosh, I’m realizing that I have let myself slip by coming by here. I need to update my wardrobe, do my makeup, and tie my damn shoes!!! I love you!
I leave them tied when I slip them off and then untie and retie when I put them back on.
I untie them, I think that I like them too tight to slip them off so even if I do I’d have to untie and retie them to put them back on but the slipping off while they are so tight might ruin the shoes
yeah, I can’t really think of any exceptions to that one, maybe it’s my ocd???
I have a couple pairs of tennis shoes that are “skater shoes” where I can slip them on and off. I wear these most of the time, not because I don’t want to tie my shoes, but because they actually are quite comfortable.
All of my other shoes I have to tie.
jaqaqueen – Ha ha! I hope I didn’t make you feel bad! That surely wasn’t my intent! If it makes you feel better, I’ve spent the day in sweatpants!
Robin – I think I am going to start doing it that way!
de – It would be hard to slip them off if you tie them really tight! Sometimes I still try to slip mine off if they are tight and I end up tripping all over the place.
martymankins – Oh! I forgot about skater shoes! I used to wear vans. I thought I was so cool π
I only retie my shoes when I have to because they’ve gotten loose, which is every few days. π I’m lazy!
Jillian – Ha! Obviously I’m not going to judge that! I’m doing the same thing!
