A glass of water infiltrated my laptop yesterday. Luckily, I am married to the Lord of All Things Electronic and he has given the laptop a full diagnostic, with a prediction for a speedy recovery. Unfortunately, invasive surgery was required, and my laptop is still under anesthesia with its innards spread out around it.
I hate when crap like this happens. But what’s the point of getting upset? Steven has another laptop I can use… with a smaller screen, internet explorer, no Adobe CS3… yeah, life’s tough! I’m spoiled, I know.
You know, I could be wrong, but I think it’s the plants you are supposed to water. π
LOL at Kyra!
That stinks about the water. Hope you’re back in your usual comfort zone soon.
Kyra – normally Steven does that, and I was home alone all day, so I guess I got confused… π
Lisa – I think it should be better soon. If not… well, at least the last thing I did before I killed it was back it up!
that sounds exactly like something i would do!! i hope your laptop makes a full speedy recovery!!
π
if i watered the lap top, i would probably get sent to timeout for a long, long, time. Luckily you married Lord of All Things Electronics. Does that make you Lady of All Things Electronics?
I did that to the keyboard on one of my work computers. Thankfully, I traded up to a better keyboard that was just sitting around.
I’d have a difficult time losing my laptop too. I got the blue screen on death on my last one. I was five or six seasons into a football game that took up all of my free time. It was tough to just let it go cold turkey.
I hate it when stuff happens like that with the laptop cause it is not as easy as say…when I spill coffee all over the keyboard of my desktop, frantically unplug it and go buy a new one ;).
I’m always spilling nailpolish remover on my pc keyboard. But that evaporates. so it’s okay, right? Ha ha.
Good news everyone – The Lord of All Things Electronic performed a successful operation and my laptop is up and running again!
CourtneyInControl – hopefully, you will learn from my mistake! π
Gina (Mannyed) – I feel like I am always in time out for something. And I haven’t earned the title of “Lady” yet.
ajooja – the dreaded blue screen of death! ARG!!! It hits all laptops at some point… no one is untouchable!
Hilly – that is a good point. Time to buy a real computer! π Christmas list, here I come…
diane – nailpolish doesn’t harm a thing – you’re all good π
