- I wish I was here to share another silly Penny story today but she is MIA. She left her cat house after midnight on Thursday and we haven’t seen her since. I doubt we will again. I’m really sad she’s gone and hope she is not suffering. I try to comfort myself with positive imaginings of what happened to her and by thinking about all the love and care we showed her, but, sigh.
- There’s been some really shitty parts in 2025. Two thumbs down. Last weekend I said to Steven “I can’t take any more shitty stuff happening this year! And we’re only 4 months in!”
- But hey, the super shitty stuff makes me appreciate the good stuff that much more. It’s not all bad.
- The pine in front of our house died and we replaced it with a Hicks Yew tree. Only a baby tree (4’) was available but we’re excited for it to fill that space over the years!
- We had book club for The Let Them Theory Friday night. We’ve started doing activities at book club and this time it was book bedazzling – people added little rhinestones to their hardcover books! It looked really neat. I brought my rock stuff and painted.
- They selected Faking with Benefits for the next book club. For months the trainer (at our gym, where book club is) has been asking me what the smuttiest book I’ve ever read is, and I kept telling her that one, so… here we go. I don’t think people are ready!!!
- Last Thursday was Bring Your Kids to Work Day and I loved the energy they brought to the office. It was a lot of fun seeing who looked (and acted!) just like their parents.
- I love my new mani from Lorena!
