Trying a new pizza place – Cut Stone – on SaturdaySeeing the ice sculptures at Kenosha Snow DazeThere were almost 60 ice sculptures!Never too cold for ice creamSunday morning was beautiful for flying – the clearest I’ve ever seen it. I could see both Milwaukee and Chicago skylines. We did maneuvers – slow flight, power off stall, steep turns, engine out/engine fire simulation, S turns, turns on a pointSteep turns be steep – usually I can see the horizon line out my windowI could feel the change in Gs!We got out for a walk later too – gotta take advantage of the sun and “warm” temps!
Not enough downtime but I needed the distractions this weekend.

Sunshine in the winter – such a mood booster! It’s been very gray here in Belgium…
I was talking to my mom about these ice sculptures and how there’s no way you could ever have something like that in Florida – they would melt right away! (Wait, is there some mechanism on the sculptures to keep them cold or is it cold enough outside that you don’t have to even worry about that? LOL, I know nothing about stuff like this!)
I’m glad you got to distract yourself with fun stuff this weekend! <3

You def could not! They are just relying on the cold here. They actually moved the event up one week in hopes it would be colder and they’d last longer but of course we got sun and “warm” for January. The ones on the sunny side of the street were partially melted by the time we saw them!
