Woo hoo, I remembered to do this series (because of a Google calendar reminder, shhh)! Here is something that should have been on the November list but wasn’t because it was a surprise – our sunset skyline tour!
Now, on to December:
- Steven’s stage check pre solo flight tonight* – he’ll fly with another instructor and when he passes he’ll be approved to do his first solo flight! *weather pending
- The WWM Holiday Party tomorrow – it’s a pajama themed party with food, games, and karaoke
- My work’s holiday party next week – I’m usually bummed I have to leave so early to catch the train so I’m going to plan ahead and drive to a different station with more train options this year
- Steven’s birthday (and the cake I ordered for him!)
- Longer days starting December 22nd (coincidentally, Steven’s birthday)
- Seeing my family for Christmas
- How quiet it will be at work the week of December 25th
What are you excited about in December?
I’m definitely looking forward to Dec 22nd! Apart from that I’m looking forward to hanging out with family and a little down time this month.
Yes! That is the best part of December if you (the general you) get it!!!!
I am so excited I booked my flight to Brussels to meet you, Kim! Can’t wait 😍
Otherwise I’m excited about lots of things in December… snow, buying and getting Christmas presents, time off work and spending happy days with the family, visiting a couple of Christmas markets with friends, Glühwein (I don’t know the correct English word – it’s some kind of hot wine, usually red wine, with spices like star anise and cloves or cinnamon and oranges; there are non-alcoholic versions, too)…. But I have to admit I’m usually quite happy when the Christmas season is over and things are getting quieter again… 😉
Me too!!!!!! Have you had any snow yet? I know exactly the drink you are talking about?
And same, I am ready for the quiet after Christmas too! 🙂
I’m excited for so much this month! Going to Disney with Bri, our book club Christmas party, other really fun Christmas gatherings, CHRISTMAS itself, and then the trip to TN after Christmas.
OMG all the fun!!!! What are the main things you and Bri want to do at Disney?
That’s awesome about Steven and the solo flying getting closer to reality! Plus, a birthday and quiet times at work. I hear you on that – there is something so lovely about the drop in the number of emails. And meetings. Always meetings.
Yes! I keep waiting for it to quiet down. It’s still too soon but I want it NOW!
