- Bobbi took me to Barbie (and out for dinner) Monday night for my birthday. What a fun movie (and fun night)! I wanted to wear pink, but didn’t think I had anything and was excited to rediscover these pants in my closet. I also had a cute pink purse (not shown ha).
- I had my INR appointment Monday and it was 1.9 – below my 2.5-3.0 range. Ha. You guys. It’s so silly how up and down my INR is. The pharmacist was perplexed and asked me a ton of questions about things I might have ingested that affected it – but I hadn’t had any of them! If anything, I thought it would be high because I was eating so much less produce while I was away in July. I’m wondering if eating a larger amount of soy in the last week affected it? Anywho, they wanted me to do shots (I did 2/3 of them, meh), and I go back in today.
- I’ve been thinking it would be fun to try out a group fitness class. I miss the comradery of them (I used to teach them). But I also love doing my workouts whenever I want to, from home, so we’ll see if it happens.
- I’m stressed out about flying Southwest Airlines next week for work – the whole no seating assignment thing. Please reassure me or give me your tips! I tried to buy the early-bird check-in thing but can’t yet, because my ticket hasn’t processed. Or something. I hope it is by next week…
- Gosh my sleep has been such garbage since we got back from Iowa. I’m restless and waking up so much (I’m able to fall back asleep, but ugh). I hope I snap out of that soon.
- Wah wah wah, lots of whining and anxiety at the end of this post. It’s been one of those weeks. Just some general low level anxiety all week has had me on edge.
I fly Southwest all the time (when I am actually traveling domestically) and it’s NBD, especially if you’re traveling solo. My best tip is, if you don’t have the early bird check-in, to check into your flight exactly 24 hours before departure so you get into boarding group A or B.
Thank you for reassuring me! I am going to try exactly that! Any tips for when I get in line to get my seat and any etiquette when I get on the plane?
Wasn’t Barbie amazing?! I loved it so much. I want to see it again (and I’ve already seen it twice in theaters, lol.)
Sorry for the up-and-downness of your INR. That has to be so frustrating, especially when you can’t pinpoint an exact cause.
I flew Southwest last year and, like San said, I’d recommend checking in as soon as you can to score boarding group A. They’ll give you a boarding group and number, and then you just line up according to your number. And then you get to choose to sit wherever on the plane, which is nice!
It was! I loved seeing it with a lot of people and hearing everyone’s reactions.
Thanks, it is. I think we figured this one out – too much soy. GAH. Why is it so sensitive? I don’t want to eat the EXACT same things every day.
Thank you for the tip! That was causing me too much anxiety so I paid the $40 to do early bird check in and hope that it works!!!!
I… I just can’t with your INR. What on earth is your body doing? That must be so frustrating – and I suspect your pharmacist is flummoxed, too. (Side note: have they done any genetic testing? You can email me if you’d rather not say anything on the blog.)
Also, I know you got to Denver and home again so I hope the Southwest experience was not as stressful as anticipated. 🙂
It seems like my body is reacting to my diet being all over the place! I am not making much of an effort to eat the same thing each day, which is apparently what I need to do to have my INR not fluctuate. And we haven’t done that testing yet!
