Last year I bought this waterproof phone case* for my iPhone 13 Pro Max because I wanted to film underwater.
I got it, tested to make sure it was waterproof (it was!), took it to the lake to film and… the lake is too murky to see anything. Ha.
So now I had this useless case I spent $20 on and was kind of shaking my head about it until I had a DUH moment. Every time I work out I bring my phone with me for safety. And I always put it in a plastic bag to protect it from my sweat. That may seem overboard, but I ruined an unprotected phone during the 2010 Chicago Marathon, and have been careful ever since!
Why don’t I use this case, which is actually intended to be waterproof, instead of an annoying plastic bag?! Duh duh duh.
And I have been ever since last July and it works great! What a great unplanned (but obvious) use!!
I can get my phone out and use it when it’s raining and not have to worry about it getting ruined. And I use this case at the beach as well.
It comes in two pieces – a front cover and back shell that you seal together. It has a flap to open to put the phone charger in, and buttons on the side to press the iPhone buttons.
The only downside is it’s a bit bulky in the sports bra pocket, so getting it in and out can be a bit of a pain, but I don’t notice it once it’s in the pocket.
