A few highlights from the weekend!
Thursday
- The sun being out! I as able to resin a few rocks after work. It would be nice to stay caught up like this and not have to do a bunch at once!
- A short walk with Steven after work.
- Receiving Easter cards from my mom and the cats’ cousin Dexter.
- Finishing the Thai food we got the night before. It was so good!
- Painting a few rocks after dinner.
Friday
- Having enough time on lunch break to get groceries. From two stores! I really dislike shopping so I try to be super efficient when I do.
- Getting a bunch of bags of clothes ready to donate.
- Running after work.
- Dinner at Red Robin with Steven, Jen, & Troy. We had a fun time hearing about their recent trip to California and catching up!
- Having part of a cookie and playing with the cats when we got home.
Saturday
- Sleeping in until 6:45.
- Seeing Tywin. It had been a while and I was getting a bit worried about him.
- A long walk and listening to podcasts. It was fun to see the rock I hid the day before had already been moved to a new spot on the trail!
- Receiving a package from a friend. What a sweetie – she sent me a vegan snack, a sticker, a Pusheen pen, and two painted rocks.
- A bite of Steven’s yummy breakfast (hashbrowns, vegan sausage, & vegan eggs).
- Having a productive day – I got some images edited for Fake Meats, prepped all the produce, tidied up the house, and we built most of one of our garden beds.
- All my new sports bras arriving. And a bunch of shorts. I went out on a limb and bought a size down (12) hoping that’s the size I will be in July/August. Let’s see if they actually fit this summer! If not, I will return them.
- Painting after dinner.
Sunday
- Sleeping in until 7:00 (although I was up for an hour in the middle of the night).
- Playing with Apollo. He loves to play the game where he chases the sun reflection off my watch.
- Running with Steven. We went to a different preserve than we normally do. It was nice to change up the scenery. And the weather was pretty nice too!
- Getting the rocks I painted the night before resined. Yay for staying caught up!
- Building the second garden bed.
- Putting the hammock out on the balcony. I didn’t use it yet, but it’s ready to go for the nice weather we are going to have this week!
- Having a bit of chill time before we started to cook. I started painting, then we rented the movie Plane.
- Cooking a nice meal – vegan ham, mashed potatoes, sauteed vegetables, green been casserole, and rolls.
- Painting more after dinner while we finished Plane.
- Going to bed early.
Lowlights
- Being so busy Saturday. And most of Sunday. We have so much to do, our weekends have been kind of packed lately. We both just want some time on the couch (besides after dinner) so I am glad we got to a bit of that Sunday.
We have very different ideas of what constitutes “sleeping in” on weekends. 😉
I’m glad you were able to have a chiller Sunday. It’s hard when life is just one busy season after another, isn’t it?
Ha!
It is hard. I feel like such a broken record about it lately. Lots of good things going on but I am just so beat!
I hear you loud and clear on “When will the busy stop???” I just want the train to slow the heck down. At least a little bit. Hope things lighten up for you soon. Margin is a good thing. <3
Yes! Maybe this summer? Any end in sight for you?
