A few highlights from the weekend!
Thursday
- Getting my Kindle back! Yay! I only didn’t have it for a week, but I missed using it to get sleepy while reading each night (my phone just doesn’t feel the same).
Friday
- My INR being in range – 2.7. And I am going out 3+ weeks until the next appointment – this is the first time I’ve done that! I am glad eating kale in California didn’t mess me up.
- Having a productive Fake Meats meeting during my lunch break.
- My Shitterfly magnets arriving. I ordered a ton. Look at the cost “savings” by having the $1 magnet and free shipping coupon.
- Running with Steven after work. It was cold and windy, but I am glad we got it in! Our schedules are difficult to align on the weekdays to run together.
- A bath.
- Dinner with Jen & Troy. It was so nice to see them and catch up after out trip (and see our favorite waitress at Tammy’s).
Saturday
- Sleeping until almost 8:00!
- Doing a strength workout and walking on the treadmill.
- Mailing some packages out (I shipped them mostly first class to save money, ha).
- Seeing Diana at the post office! Diana is the postal worker who used to run the local post office but they moved her and it was such a nice surprise to see here there Saturday.
- Finding a rock where I was going to hide mine while running errands. I planned to leave it at Aldi, and when I got there, someone had a rock and quarter out (a quarter for a cart). How nice!
- Seeing Steven and his coworkers for a late lunch. I brought them Jimmy John’s. Has anyone had the super small JJ sandwich? It’s so tiny, but I had already eaten leftover pizza before I went, so I am glad I went small.
- Playing with the cats when I got home.
- Painting and watching Never Have I Ever.
- Tywin/Davos being cute while Steven fixed the cat house heater.
Sunday
- Tywin/Davos showing up dry at the house (see below, or here – he fell in the pond Saturday night).
- A delicious breakfast by Steven – hashbrowns, toast, three fake meats, and “eggs.”
- Chilling and painting.
- Getting sh*t done (chores, Fake Meats work).
- Another run with Steven. Ugh. I took us to a different trail for a change of scenery and the ground was way too soft and kind of ruined the run. Oops.
- A yummy dinner (grilled broccoli and potatoes, leftover fake meats ribs, pineapple).
- Ordering an early birthday gift for a friend. I am doing well at getting people’s gifts early! I just need to organize it better. Hmm, maybe a spreadsheet so I can see it from my phone?
- Going to bed early.
Lowlights
- Forgetting to put something in one of the packages I mailed Saturday morning.
- Tywin/Davos falling in the water. Sigh. I am so glad he let us dry him off.
- Stupid dreams about college Saturday night. WHY DO I STILL HAVE THESE.
- Not being able to fall asleep Sunday night. We went to bed early and I was excited to get extra sleep and just lied there, thinking about things I needed to do. UGH.
I would really freak out without my Kindle, I think. You’re right that reading on your phone is just not the same!
I couldn’t fall asleep Sunday night, either. The bell on the church behind our house tolls every fifteen minutes and with every toll, I felt myself getting tenser and tenser, which does not help sleep!
Thank you for getting me! I am so grateful the host sent it back! And she wouldn’t even let me pay her to do so! So kind.
Oh gosh! Like, thanks for the reminder I am not sleeping. NOT.
Yay for the return of your Kindle! I would have been so tense until I got it back. Whew.
Your Shitterfly savings are legendary, Kim. LEGENDARY. Do you think they have your picture in their offices as “Most Savings on Magnets in History?” 😉
Right! I felt so off without it!
Ha! Ha ha ha! I imagine they do, in magnet form, naturally!
Thanks for making me super-anxious that I’d left my iPad behind when I checked out of a hotel yesterday! (A good kind of anxious – it made it home safely, as did the rest of my stuff… :>)
Phew! I am so glad it made it home! Did everything else as well?!
