A few highlights from the weekend!

Thursday

  • Getting some good FakeMeats.com footage after work. Check out the latest reel:

  • Date night with Jen! We went to a place where you paint ceramics, then to Mod Pizza for dinner. When Jen suggested the ceramics place I was excited she came up with something fun and new to do but also hesitant… like what will I find that I want to paint and keep? I ended up painting a cat planter and am excited to pick it up this week! And really hope we use it. Ha. We had a great time on our date, as always! Next month we are talking about seeing the new Magic Mike film, ha.

Friday

  • Being wide awake early and getting my workout done before my 8:00 am INR appointment. I thought doing this would mean more free time later in the day, ha.
  • A good INR. It was right in range, at 2.7! Yay! Next appointment is on February 17.
  • A thank you card from pharmacist for the rock and Starbucks gift card I gave them for Christmas. That was so thoughtful to write it out! (And the other pharmacist thanked me in person, which was also thoughtful.) I tell ya, these pharmacists are the only thing keeping me in the network for my blood clot issues.
  • More filming at FM.
  • Lunch with Steven at El Famous. I thought I would be home way before lunch but filming and editing takes time! I left and got groceries then we meet for lunch. I tried to buy a greeting card at Walmart and that Walmart was under construction and I only had access to the pharmacy and grocery. Funny.
  • Finishing packaging Valentine’s Day packages and mailing them.
  • A video call with Emily (in Australia) and painting during the call. I was so frustrated I had not made any time to paint yet that day and was grateful she was cool with me doing it during the call. I got to visit with her and see her 5 month old and Apollo and his girlfriend Molly got to video chat too!

  • Chilling after dinner.

Saturday

  • Sleeping in until 7:00.
  • A yummy breakfast.
  • A walk outside. My first walk outside all week (the rest were on the treadmill) – the temps really warmed up this weekend, yay. I started this walk in snowshoes and realized quickly I did not need them – so much of the forest is being torn down (the brush and dead trees?) that the snow on the walking paths was completely plowed down by equipment. The path looks so different, sad face. Anyway, I took my snowshoes back to the car. I had a nice conversation with another walker and another snowmobiler while out there.
  • Listening to a marketing book while I walked.
  • Getting some things organized in the house (taking down holiday cards, organizing desk, etc).
  • Resining.
  • Putting my first sticker on a water bottle ever! I finally did it!
  • Painting after dinner. I got the next two prompts done for the challenge I am hosting, yay! I was feeling behind.
  • Finishing one book and starting another.

Sunday

  • Waking up early (4:40 am) and getting a few things done in the am (laundry, writing this, organizing photos, etc).
  • Going on a walk with Steven then getting chais (and going to Menards, ha). It was in the high 30s and sunny!
  • Resining after lunch.
  • Chilling on the couch for about two hours and watching a bad movie (Footloose) and painting! It was so nice to have some chill time! YAY!
  • Having a fire going.
  • A yummy “chicken” noodle-ish dish for dinner.
  • Painting more after dinner and going to bed early.

Lowlights

  • Burning my mouth HORRIBLY (being dramatic) at Mod Pizza on Thursday. Ouch. I did not enjoy food for a few days and it hurt so much it took a while to fall asleep Thursday night. But the good news is, I was eating much more slowly!
  • A check bouncing. It was an honest mistake but I was a bit panicky when I saw it, and the charge.
  • Accidentally seeing some sad animal stuff online during a google search.
