I’m so so lazy.
Steven has been out of town for most of the week and he makes 99% of our meals. So I decided to keep it reaaaaaaaaaaaal simple while he was gone.
On Monday I bought a salad mix and made one half of it Tuesday night and ate it with vegan Gardein Fish. Then I ate the same thing Wednesday night.
Then Thursday night I made the rest of the vegan Gardein fish with broccoli. (I had a salad for lunch each day)
These meals were so easy to make and had such little cleanup that I had a lot of extra time to watch movies and paint and snuggle with the cats… then go to bed at ridiculously early time.
I’m so cool (but very well rested, and I got a lot of painting and reading done)!
I finally cooked an actual meal that required a pot, a sauté pan, and a pan in the oven today… but that was just to try to get footage for a Fake Meats reel. Ha. It felt like so much clean up, but was delicious! (I think the reel is going to be garbage… in case you didn’t guess it, I am not a cook so I had a really hard time cooking and filming at the same time. Oh well, I will get better!)
Steven comes back tonight! Yay!
At least you attempted to cook. When Steve is gone I eat out for dinner. I don’t even try! 😂
Ha! Thanks for making me feel better! It’s funny you say that… when I went to sauté the broccoli Thursday night I took the cut up broccoli out of the fridge and noticed it had brown spots and was like “eh, that’s fine…” then upon closer inspection I realized it all had fuzz on it! Gross! Like, I was going to be too lazy to even cut up new broccoli? But I did. LOL.
It’s HARD to be an adult and cook your own meals when it’s just you. I get it! That’s why I spend so much money on Ubereats orders, lol. I’m trying to get better about actually cooking meals for myself.
You totally get it! I thought about you when I was writing this! How’s it been going with cooking more?
