- A few weeks ago the Program Director from Thresholds (a nonprofit that assists and serves people with mental health and substance abuse conditions) found one of my rocks at a forest preserve out here and reached out to me to ask if I’d be interested in teaching a class on rock painting to veterans. We chatted on Zoom yesterday and he invited me to come to Thresholds on January 31st to meet and teach a class to the staff, then they’ll talk about having me teach classes to their clients. I got such a good vibe from the Program Director. I am excited to meet him and his coworkers in person on the 31st!
- It continues to blow my mind how many connections (and opportunities!) I’ve made through rock painting. Pretty cool.
- Remember when I finally got my medical records from one hospital system and the system who claimed they never got them sent them to me at the same time? I sent a message then to ask if they had the records in their system, and the finally responded yesterday, 18 days later, that they don’t, and ASKED ME TO MAIL THEM BACK. I cannot with them. I mean, of course I am going to mail them back but I am so so so annoyed with how disorganized they are.
- The paint off of one of my fingernails tore so I glued it back down… then put resin on top. Hoping that makes it last until my mani next Friday, ha!
Using the nail lamp for what it’s actually for, ha
- I ordered a new cheap office chair because mine would not stay at the height I want it to and the tallest this one goes is to THAT height. LOL, good work Kim. I might get taller casters for it.
I am so frustrated for you about your disorganized hospital system. I can’t believe how terrible they are at keeping patients’ records straight!
And what a beautiful highlight of teaching rock painting to the staff at this nonprofit! That is such a cool experience and I can’t wait to hear more about it.
I really cannot either. It absolutely is blowing my mind.
Thank you! I am really stoked about doing it! I will def report back after I teach the staff next week!
