A few highlights from the weekend!
I was sick all last week and hadn’t painted in a week. All I wanted to do this weekend was paint and resin. It was a very lazy weekend and exactly what I needed!
Thursday
- Getting a new mani with Lorena and chatting with her. I was excited to use the Halloween nail stickers my friend Lauren sent me from Australia (I made a reel of the mani here).
- Steven picking up HuHot for dinner. It was good and the spiciness cleared my head a bit.
Friday
- Getting some packages out, and getting a bunch of packages in the mail. I need to become more efficient at sending packages. I waste so much time on it! It would be nice if I had a dedicated area to all my junk for sending mail, but our house isn’t big enough… unless I want to set something up in the basement.
- Seeing my favorite postal person. I had a fall package for them and they had fall goodies for me too – and we gave each other the same sheet of stickers. Too funny!
- Steven and I both having a cat sit on our laps after dinner.
Saturday
- Sleeping in (past 8:00).
- Breakfast sandwiches and hash browns for breakfast.
- A hot bath.
- Finishing some rocks I started and getting some rocks resined.
- Putting out some Halloween decorations.
- Dinner out. Although the service and food were meh.
- Painting rocks after dinner.
Sunday
- Sleeping past 8:00 again!
- A chill morning – painting rocks while listening to some documentary.
- Resining in the afternoon.
- Steven making cookies.
- Burgers for dinner, then painting after dinner.
Monday
- Sleeping past 7:00.
- Going to the lake.
- A run! My first one since California.
- Building a Halloween cat house my mom got the cats last year. Let’s see how long it lasts. Ned was immediately trying to chew on it. I taped the edges but I am not sure how much good that’ll do.
- Painting a bit before my INR appointment.
- Getting a 2.5 at my appointment. They want me between 2-3, and that’s great. I still have one appointment this Thursday, then fingers crossed we go weekly. Or biweekly. Random – it’s so weird I have this syndrome (antiphospholipid syndrome) and don’t really think about it that much. I just wear the socks and take the drugs and move when I can. I’m sure I’ll think about it more if it does not go away.
- Hiding a breast cancer awareness rock at the Women’s Hospital and having it picked up immediately!
- Pasta and painting after dinner while watching the latest House of the Dragon.
I’m so sorry you have to deal with APS – it sounds scary, but I am glad you aren’t thinking about it too much and that it didn’t keep you from doing your trip.
Thank you <3 I am glad I could still go on the trip too! I would have been so sad if I had to cancel!
I love that you have a favorite postal person AND had a fall gift for them. How very Enneagram 2 of you! 🙂
The Halloween cat house is amazing! Our taco bus didn’t last long but the groovy bus (which only Ellie can fit in, haha) is still holding strong. Ellie doesn’t use it often, but every now and then I’ll catch her in it! I hope Ned behaves himself in the cat house!
Hooray for hitting a 2.5 at your appointment! I think it’s good that you don’t think too much about your syndrome on a daily basis. Just do what you can to get rid of those clots and move on with your life! <3
Ha! True!
They are loving the house! Ned is finding spots to chew on that I did not tape. Such a twerp. I guess I should tape those too. But I am glad they can all enjoy it in their own special way. Eyeroll. And I am seriously glad that Ellie uses the groovy bus from time to time! It’s so cute! And so is she! (And her sister!)
Exactly!!!! There is no point in worrying until I see what my scans look like after my Dec appt!
