A few highlights from the weekend!

Friday

  • Getting a trade and commission out at lunch. My commissions are still closed, but I accepted two requests (so I guess they aren’t really closed, huh?) and I always feel so good once they’re in the mail. And I’m so far behind on trades, it feels really good to be catching up on those too!
  • Bobbi finding a vegan cheese we like for a good price at Costco, and dropping it off. It was nice to chat with Bobbi and John a bit! Also, I spent all my commission money on cheese, ha ha.
  • Loving 80% of my Stitch Fix.
  • El Famous for dinner.
  • Finishing up the second commission after dinner (well, the painting part).
  • Finishing a book. Oops, I stayed up too late, but, shrug. It was the second book in the Scythe series.

Saturday

  • Getting my long run in despite very little sleep. I wanted to run when it was cool. And I wanted to get the run done to try to get my next commission out (I still had to resin it when I got home!).
  • Getting that other commission in the mail. Ha, my very local post office closes at 11:30 and I got there at 11:25 to mail it… to see the postal worker leaving. Oops! I should not have cut it so close. I drove to another town whose post office closes at 1:00, then ran into my postal worker at Walmart after it. Bizarre!
  • Lunch on the patio. It was so nice out! We’ve having our two patios and one balcony redone in the next month and I am so excited! Mostly just cleaned and stained with new posts, but it’s going to be such an improvement.
  • Time on the balcony with the cats.
  • A short nap.
  • Tidying up a bit. I am not messy… but I am clutter-y… and I hate it.

Sunday

  • Going back to bed after getting up at 5:00 (I slept from 6:30-8:15!).
  • Breakfast sandwiches by Steven.
  • A chill morning – I organized and got a bunch of stuff ready to take to Goodwill.
  • Grilled lunch.
  • A walk in the preserve.
  • Dropping off at Goodwill. Ahh, it felt so good to get that big box out of the house.
  • Helping Steven pick up lumber. I like to think I was a useful helper? Ha. The lumber selection was so horrible, it took us forever to pick it out.

Monday

  • Getting a bike ride in before the temps hit the 90s.
  • A cool bath.
  • Catching up on computer stuff and getting more trades ready to ship.
  • Chilling and painting before and after dinner.

Lowlights

  • Getting bad health news from a close friend.
  • Someone crowding me in the pharmacy line. Sigh, I do not need you breathing down my neck when the pharmacist is asking for my DOB and explaining my meds, back off.
  • Not eating enough after my run and getting hangry on Saturday.
