A few highlights from the weekend!
Thursday
- Filming something I couldn’t film for 2 months. I was doing a collaboration reel with a friend who lives in Europe and he sent me his film months ago, but it was already so green there, I had to wait for it to match up here! Here’s the reel.
- Going to bed early.
Friday
- Breakfast sandwiches.
- Getting my run in in the am. Right after breakfast might not have been a great idea, but it all worked out!
- Getting a post card from a friend and seeing a note in my PO Box to pick up a package!
- An iced chai. Holy crap these are so expensive now! I have a gift card, but will definitely be cutting back.
- Listening to Fergie. My snis told me she was listening to The Dutchess so then I had to.
- A fun chat with Lorena and loving my mani. When I go after work I am drained and don’t enjoy our convo as much, just because I have been talking to people all day. I should keep my Friday am appointments.
- Getting our passport pics done. They expire in October, and we don’t have plans to travel, but want them current.
- Lunch at El Famous. Yum!
- Picking up the package. Whoa, they sent me SO MANY ROCKS!
- Hanging on the balcony with the cats.
- Burgers for dinner.
- Getting packages ready to send. I owe a lot of people rock trades, and it felt good to get a bit caught up.
Saturday
- A video chat with Emily (my friend in Australia). That was completely unplanned (the call), but a mug that I won was sent to her house (Australian shipping only!) and she wanted to open it together and saw I was online. It was great to chat but I was not planning to be on a call from 6:15 – 8:00 am and was so tired!
- Breakfast sandwiches and potatoes,
- Getting more packages out the door and mailing our passport renewals.
- Dropping a gift off for Lorena’s daughter.
- Getting a postcard from a friend.
- A video chat with my snis.
- Having a popsicle.
- Getting a bunch of rocks painted (during lunch and after dinner).
Sunday
- A cool overcast morning for my run. I so appreciated it!
- Getting lots of good ideas on my run.
- Having a free Starbucks.
- It being cool enough for a bath.
- Helping Steven with a project.
- Painting before and after dinner.
Lowlights
- Friday and Saturday feeling too busy.
- Someone excluding me after I asked them to include me… for the second time. There won’t be a third time.
- My up and down emotions – see above two bullets, ha.
- Waking up at 4:40 am Saturday and Sunday. I am so tired.
For some reason, my mind combined “Hanging on the patio with the cats” and “Burgers for dinner” to make “Hamburgers on the patio with the cats” and thought Khali must have LOVED that. Hahaha. I need to slow down when I’m reading your blog posts, apparently.
I’m really sorry about the lowlight of being excluded. I hate that feeling so much. <3
She would love that though! When we make burgers in the summer she sits at the sliding door and just STARES. Ha ha.
Thank you. I was just so shocked it happened a SECOND time!
Oooh, popsicles. Such a summer treat! There’s something about them that takes me right back to childhood.
OK, seriously – how much does it COST to send so many rocks through the mail? inquiring minds want to know! (Thinking of your friend who sent so. many. rocks.!)
Yes, me too!
She sent them in a bag and I am not as familiar on bag shipping, but a small flat rate box costs me around $8 and a medium one costs around $15! US only.
