A few highlights from the weekend!
Thursday
- Shitterfly FINALLY having the $1 magnet deal. I have probably missed it the last few times since I am not on Facebook much (and that is usually where I see the promotion), but I had items in my cart all the way back to October to print! Look at those savings – full price on Shitterfly is ridiculous.
- Receiving fun packages in the mail. I got a rock trade from a friend and some St Patrick’s Day goodies from my mom.
Friday
- Breakfast sandwiches.
- Taking a half day. Ha, I started my Monday taking this half day… and was considering a full day. Work is just so meh right now. I am in a super weird limbo.
- Dropping off a birthday present at a friend’s.
- A run in a preserve near our old house. It was windy and cold AF, but fun to run somewhere I haven’t in a while.
- Visiting my friend’s Little Free Library. It was my first time visiting it and it’s so beautifully curated.
- Getting a hot chai at Starbucks after that cold run.
- A phone call with Mom.
- Dinner out. We went to Kuma’s Corner and got burgers and fries – I don’t think we’d been there in a couple of years! It was not crowded (yay!) and the music was super toned down (yay! this is a heavy metal restaurant and it’s often pretty loud). You order on your phone now, and that went well.- All around much better than our last Friday night out.
- Getting vegan treats at Whole Foods after dinner.
- Trying to play with all cats. A bit of a cluster but better than it used to be.
Saturday
- Knitting a few rows in the baby blanket before I started chores.
- Breakfast sandwiches – we tried a new vegan bacon that was pretty good.
- Getting the guest bedroom tidied up. It was still a disaster from my holiday gift staging, and had clothes (that don’t fit), blankets, and paper house items spread out all over.
- Cleaning and tidying the house. Ha, I am glad I did this in the morning, as the vacuum was broken when Steven went to use it later in the day.
- Painting at lunch. A pen supplier asked me to make something with their metallic pens and I’d been putting it off to focus on the blanket. It was good to get it done. Although, see lowlight below.
- Getting errands done.
- Signing up for a race with friends – my first in two years!
- Putting together a package for a friend who is going through a rough time.
- Watching the new The Adam Project movie
- Knitting.
Sunday
- The cats not waking us up super early due to the time change. The one benefit of the first day of starting DST.
- Breakfast sandwiches. Three days in a row!
- Putting up my art wall! Ahh, I am so excited about this. I had a frame with ridges on it I was putting art in next to the bed, and I got some floating shelves to put up more of my friends’ art. It looks so good and I love walking into the bedroom and seeing all that color.
- My St Patrick’s Day Goodrs arriving.
- Finally going on a run.
- Popcorn as a snack.
- Takeout dinner. I just felt like garbage most of the day and did not want to be a functioning adult who assisted with Steven making dinner.
- Knitting after dinner.
- Steven helping me put together a heavy package full of rocks for a friend.
Lowlights
- Messing up the last knit on Saturday night. Sigh. Once I do the last knit in the row and move it over, I can never seem to get it right again if I have to undo it because I saw a mistake further down. BLAH,.
- Staying up way too late Saturday night and waking up feeling like absolute garbage Sunday. We are usually in bed by 10:00. How late were we up the night of the time change? Midnight.
- My black paint pen being a B on Sunday. Gah. I get it primed and it’s drawing nice even lines then all of a sudden it gets all thick. So over it.
- The pen supplier asking me to retake the photos of the metallic rocks on Saturday, then again on Sunday. if they ask a third time, I am out. I am not a photographer and I am doing them a favor. (I said yes because they send me free pens if I ask, but this was really annoying me).
NOT COOL, pen supplier, NOT COOL. Hopefully they liked your third picture option! Ugh.
Work feels very weird for me right now, too. I’ve been so out-of-my-mind busy these last few years and now I’m not and I don’t know who I am, haha. I’m trying to enjoy it, but it’s just weird! At least I know I can take time off without worrying about getting super far behind.
Your art wall looks great! What a fun thing to have next to your bed.
They finally did. Gah. I was losing my mind.
Oh wow! That is really strange after how it’s been. It must feel super odd, like you are forgetting something!
Thank you! I love seeing it each day! And I have already added a few things to it!
So.. what’s the bacon??? Inquiring minds want to know. 🙂
Yay takeout and playing with the cats… but boo to weirdness at work, and that pen company. WTH??
We’re testing it and not selling it yet but I will send the link when it’s up! 🙂
I know right? Sigh. Sigh x 10000.
