Notes:
- I was stiff on Sunday from my Saturday long run, but felt ready to run Monday, yay! I was so tired at work on Monday that I took two hours off to nap. I was glad when I woke up (4:00 pm) that there was still enough daylight to run! And there will be even more this week with DST starting.
- On Thursday I really wanted to skip my short workout BUT! MOVEMENT EVERY DAY! And I only wanted to skip so I could knit and work on editing videos on my phone. Ha. Those things can wait.
- I was near my old stomping grounds on Friday so I ran in the forest preserve that was right next to our old house. It was fun to run there again, but GAH the wind was nuts and so cold!!! As soon as I finished my run I took all my three top layers off and put on a dry coat so I wouldn’t freeze on the long-ish (30 mins) drive home. Also, I was so over cold runs only wore vest and not coat.
- I signed up for a race next month with two girlfriends! I am excited! I haven’t participated in one since March of 2020.
- I planned to do a long run Sunday afternoon but I felt like a garbage human being most of the day, so I ran 5 instead. Womp womp. I felt great at the end of my run, so that’s something! I know it’s horrible to be running on the soft trails and messing them up but it feels so nice on my body.
