A few highlights from the weekend!
Thursday
- Painting a Luisa (from Encanto) rock on my lunch break.
- Starting a cute new book my friend Valerie sent me – Nala’s World: One man, his rescue cat and a bike ride around the globe. It’s so heartwarming! I am not even done and I 100% recommend it for an easy, feel good read.
Friday
- Having a really short week (it was my Friday off and I had Monday off too. And Wednesday. And worked a few hours less than normal Tuesday.).
- Pay day!
- Going to the beach to see if the ice caves were there. They were!
- A mani and visiting with Lorena.
- Getting chais and surprising Steven at the office. (Although I accidentally scared him, oops.)
- A nap with the cats.
- Getting some more rocks ready for that #FelineTheLoveChallenge.
Saturday
- Going back to bed after I fed the cats.
- A long run followed by a bath (not too hot! I am doing better about that this week).
- Hanging up some prints in the office.
- Getting the house clean. It felt so good to get it done.
- Seeing small progress with the trio tolerating Ned (he is still gated in the office, and has been for two weeks now).
Sunday
- Pancakes for breakfast.
- The snow being super light and easy to clear.
- A nap (I had a headache).
- Takeout for dinner. We rarely get takeout on Sunday night and it felt like a naughty treat, ha!
Lowlights
- Rachel not being able to visit Sunday. She got a ton of snow and the roads were sh*t! I 1000% get that – I don’t travel in the snow anymore either. Still a bummer, but we’ll reschedule. And I had a headache anyway so that all worked out.
What is it about getting takeout on a night you don’t usually get it, and it feeling so naughty and fun? Whenever I get takeout on, like, a Monday afternoon I feel like I’m getting away with something! Ha.
Hooray for small progress with Ned and the trio!
It was exactly like that! Kind of a fun little thrill, ya know?! And it’s funny – I think Sunday and Monday are the only nights we hardly ever get takeout so it’s not like we have these sacred nights.
Yes! I am so glad it’s helping 🙂 We really want him to be part of the pack.
Oh, pancakes. Now I am hungry. Sounds like a solid weekend!
Hope you can have some soon!
