Wow, it’s been a hot minute since I did a RTT post!
- Our plan was to restart cat introductions after the holiday, which involves gating Ned into the office/downstairs bathroom, and putting a blanket over the bottom gate so the cats can’t see him (among other steps). We started this January 8th and we’re seeing improvement with the trio spending a lot more time downstairs, and getting more comfortable being near the office. Yay!
A photo of them NOT downstairs, ha. You’ll have to trust me!
I am in the office all day with Ned on my work days, and we make sure to come in and spend a lot of time cuddling and playing when we are not. It’s made for later than normal bedtimes since we always play with him after cleaning up dinner.
- Unfortunately, this was all AFTER Ned cornered Apollo in the litter box area and Apollo started (understandably) doing some naughty bathroom activities. We put another litter box upstairs (yay… not) and I’ve seen Apollo uses the boxes downstairs again, so that’s good! Slow progress over here.
- Last week was my one year anniversary in my new position at work! Wow! My supervisor is the one who remembered, not me. I love working under them and will be so sad when I am not on their team anymore, in a few months. Still no idea where I will end up. So fun.
- Does anyone else use two step verification to log into Google? I do, and they always used to text me the code to log in, and now they keep trying to get me to open the YouTube app on my phone to get the code. Um, no thanks? I always tell it to text it to me instead.
- Rachel and I are rescheduling our canceled date from last weekend and she asked when I was free and… I have NOTHING going on until April. Ha ha ha ha. (In April I am throwing a Sprinkle for my snis and doing a trip with some rock painting friends).
Yay on the one year on the new job. The battle of cat introductions. We’ve had the same 2 cats for a while and they get along just fine.
Thank you!
I am glad they are! How long did it take?
It took a good 2 years before they stopped avoiding each other. They still spar. One is 10.5 (the humane society adopted) and the other is 4 (the feral).
Oh wow! I hope it does not take that long for us but I would not be surprised 😉
Oh, I’m so glad to hear that the cat introductions are going better this time around. That’s wonderful! Ned has such a sweet little face.
Happy one year! I can’t believe you still have no idea what you’ll be doing in a few months’ time. That would give me such anxiety!
Thanks! We are so relieved. Wish we would have done it this way from the start but it was such a hectic time of year. That’s a bad excuse and we know better for the future now!
Thank you! Gah. Yeah. It’s been something!
