I got an email Saturday asking me what I wanted in my next Stitch Fix and it reminded me that I never posted my last one (just casually mentioned it here)! Let’s see if I can cobble together some photos of what was in Fix #8! (You can tell these are really cobbled together, ha)
I asked for another pair of jeans and a pair of colored jeans as well. I really like the Studio Blue Aranza Skinny Jean and Wash Lab Keri Skinny Jean (the reddish) ones… but I am really not sure if that cut looks good on me. Eek.
Ugh, I was painting with the kids on Christmas Eve and splattered white paint on my new red paints! I kind of got it off, but not really, wah.
Maybe I should ask for a new cut style. Something less form fitting.
A friend of mine told me she loves the joggers she got from Stitch Fix so I requested a pair and got the Gaiam Aurielle Knit Traveler Jogger. I love them for lounging around the house! (I always wear jeans when I leave the house in the winter, except last week I had to wear sweats to my pedi and it felt SO WEIRD to go out in sweats)
I really like this Market & Spruce Cameron Cowl Neck Brushed Knit Top. I am a huge fan of cowl necks and stripes and it’s super cozy and professional enough to wear to work (who am I kidding? I have my work hoodie on most of the time!).
And I really wanted to love this Love Ellie Mia Back Detail Pullover but it’s a bit too small on me. I kept it because it would be more expensive to send it back.
That was fix #8!
Here is the preview I was sent for fix #9. I asked for colorful sweaters, long sleeve and long pant pajamas, and anything with cat (not leopard, but house cat) print. I had a hard time coming up with things to request for fix #9, and wasn’t that excited about the preview, so I think after I receive the next one, I will take a break until I go back into the office (which was postponed from January 31st with no new date) or until summer weather.
Here’s how the preview works – they show you 10 items and you can pick 5 to receive, or pick less than 5 or none at all, with feedback on what you’d like.
Here are the four items I asked to receive. I’m disappointed the pajamas are cropped legs and 3/4 arms. It’s cold here! I asked to be surprised on the fifth item. I wonder if those skinny lines will be too skinny. We shall see.
And here are the six items I rejected. I was really tempted by that orange sweater but I think that color might not work on me. I liked the pajama set but can’t do shorts in bed right now. And I liked the hoodie top, cowl neck, and green sweater, but they were similar to things I had. The flower top is interesting, but not my style (ha, as if I have style).
I love the two striped items that you chose. I would have picked those too. In fact, I really want the one on the right now. I actually have the floral item in your reject group. I would totally wear the item bottom left too. I love the stitch fix joggers and leggings too. They really do get most things right. I only get my fix every three months now though because I just have too much of everything.
Thanks! I can totally see you in both florals in that group and in the bottom row item to the left! They would look great on you! I really like my stylist. But yeah, I can cut back now – I have what I need until we go back into the office! π
Ooh, I LOVE the striped sweater in the middle you picked. I can’t wait to see what that looks like! And I really hope you get a shirt with cats on it!
I need to find some properly fitted joggers. I got a pair from Old Navy last year and I like them, but they are sooooo long on me so they bunch up around my ankles and it gets really annoying.
Thanks! I hope I like these! And get a cat shirt. I am guessing I won’t since it was NOT in the preview π
That is annoying! I hope you can find some! I love lounging in mine!
That navy and gray striped sweater is perfection! I even looked it up to buy myself, but it’s more than my “go nowhere” lifestyle can justify. I’ve done a couple of the Amazon Try Before You Buy orders – found one top that I love, and some that I was glad I checked out but didn’t work for me. With this, I have to look for whatever I want to order, vs having Stitchfix do that for you – I may give them another go in the spring.
Thank you! And I can totally see you wearing it!
How does Try Before You Buy work? I figure most things on Amazon Prime I can try and return if they don’t look right? Is this a bit different? I am glad you can return what you don’t like! So many things on there I think will look good, and um no. They do not. Ha!
Ok, I’m totally stuck on the pajamas. (I know this is a super-late comment, bear with me here…)
You’re in the Midwest. It’s January. And they couldn’t find *full length pants and a top*??? Seriously?
Is there some reason you didn’t ask them to find full length pj’s in your response? I have no idea how Stitch Fix works, so maybe you’re not allowed to do that?
LOL, I asked for full length and apparently they did not have them! I posted what I got today. π
