Notes:

  • I don’t usually run two days in a row (last Sunday and this Monday) but I really wanted to see McInotsh lake and it was so worth it. Seeing the sunrise to the east and the mountains to the west was just stunning. I stopped a ton to hide rocks and admire the view. It was pretty cold but so so worth getting out there. This was my first time running in Colorado! Steven and I stopped by the park on our way out of town so he could see how beautiful it was.
  • The Flatirons were just STUNNING. How amazing to have them be the backdrop of Boulder! The uphill and elevation were difficult since I am out of shape and from somewhere with a much lower elevation, but I really enjoyed our hike. We hiked up close to the bottom of the Flatirons, then came back down, Here was our view from the top:

  • My hike with Valerie the next day was thankfully much easier, since we wanted to chat! IT was equally as stunning though – we were in a canyon with beautiful views on all sides. Hurray for the internet still being such a great place to meet such great people.

  • I was able to run in Nebraska again on our way back home. I checked out a trail in the downtown area, and more of campus.
  • Then when we got home I was so exhausted I didn’t want to workout but lifted Saturday and finally ran Sunday afternoon. Our trip wore us out!
