A few highlights from the weekend!
Wednesday
- My newest Stitch Fix coming. I still need to take better pics! I’ve worn everything except one item!
- Picking up Starbucks for me and Lorena, then a mani/pedi. We planned out my December manis too! I’m pretty excited.
- Thai takeout for dinner.
Thursday
- No traffic on the drive to my run. It’s only a 2.5 mile drive but I normally encounter something weird during it.
- A run followed by a hot bath.
- Breakfast sandwiches.
- Cooking and eating a delicious Thanksgiving meal with Steven.
- A wonderful nap. I slept so well and woke up feeling so good!
- Watching 8-Bit Christmas. The 80s nostalgia and Chicago setting made it pretty fun for us. I love the snark on Wisconsin drivers. Ha.
- Thanksgiving leftovers!
- Getting some Pusheen holiday rocks painted.
- Starting a new book – Golden Girl. It has a lot of characters that I am not great at keeping track of, but it’s super gossipy and drama-filled, so that is keeping me entertained.
Friday
- Breakfast sandwiches.
- Filming some Reels. I love getting a bunch done at once and having them ready to go for a week or two.
- Getting a hot chai. Ahh, I drove by the outlet mall and it looked INSANE! No gracias!!!!
- Wrapping a gift while watching The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star. I was trying to make wrapping gifts more bearable and the movie helped! But our living room is not great for wrapping, ha. (I can listen on my laptop on the dining room table next time.)
- A bath.
- Painting some Pusheen rocks.
- Leftovers for dinner and watching Christmas Vacation.
Saturday
- A run followed by a chai and yep, bath. Ha.
- Hiding my first rock in over a month.
- Ned being featured in the Fake Meats Small Business Saturday newsletter.
- Getting some holiday gifts wrapped (34 of them!). I hate it so much but it feels good to get some done. But it put me in such a bad mood. Ugh.
- Baking banana bread.
- El Famous for dinner.
Sunday
- Having a lazy morning and getting a lot done around the house – organizing my clothes, laundry, cleaning, etc.
- Putting holiday music on my phone. I’ve been listening to it since early November on the radio, but hadn’t downloaded it back onto my phone yet. (I take it off in January each year – I only want to hear holiday music in November and December.) This was the first time I’d gotten into iTunes since the pandemic. Ha. Oh iTunes. What a nightmare you always are.
- Another chai! My snister gave me two free ones this weekend. Thanks, snis!
- Painting more holiday Pusheen rocks.
Lowlights
- The cats (Khali, Apollo, Starbuck) being crazy at bedtime and in the early am. I understand it – they hide all day in the bedroom from Ned, then need to play at night, but it’s making me crazy.
- Some feelings of insecurity about a relationship. It’s not something I usually feel so it makes me pretty uncomfortable. Understandably.
- Not sleeping in. In my head, I am always going to, or am going to go back to bed after feeding the cats, and I almost never do.
YES TO STITCH FIX PICTURES. Please and thank you. 🙂
I’m going to have to look up Golden Girl. Gossipy and drama-filled – sounds like my kinda book!
I’m sorry about the insecurity in one of your relationships. I really understand that feeling and it SUCKS. <3
You will get them!!! And thanks for asking 🙂 🙂 🙂
Oh sweet! I am almost done and it definitely keep me engaged. It’s a fluffy read, which is nice!
Thank you so much. I know you get it! Lots of kind self talk this weekend!
Can’t wait to see the Stitch Fix! I’m sure you’ve done the pics and posted them by now. 🙂
What did you have for Thanksgiving dinner?
And, I’m sorry about the relationship related insecurity. Been there, understand that. Hope it’s resolving / resolved…
I haven’t!
We had a tofurky, potatoes, rolls, and … something else. Oh, dressing! What did you have.
Thanks. It’s not! It’s just how that person is and is something I am trying not to let bother me but it still does from time to time.
