A few highlights from the weekend!

Friday

  • Ned having breakfast with us.
  • Taking a half day because I was so over the week.
  • Starbuck sleeping under the covers. We’ve never had a cat that does that, but Starbuck started to this week and it’s so cute (once I realized she was NOT missing when I couldn’t find her).
  • A run in the sun.
  • Getting Starbucks then taking a bath after my run.
  • A short nap.
  • Takeout for dinner and watching King Richard and getting some holiday rocks done.

Saturday

  • A lazy morning.
  • Getting a surprise package in the mail from my rock bestie Caitlin.
  • A walk with Steven.
  • Getting Panera bread bowls. (Lowlight – their weird service – I tired to order a cookie for Steven after we finished our meal and no one would come to the counter then finally someone told me the lobby was closed. I totally get the labor shortage issue, but I wish they would have put up a sign!)
  • Getting all our files backed up on our new server. Gah. Someone I know lost all their images off the cloud today and I feel so bad for them, and so grateful mine are all backed up.
  • Receiving our first stamped holiday card (our first holiday card received was from my snis who put it in a package she sent!).
  • Shelley receiving the Elf rock and framed movie quote I made/got her.

Sunday

  • Getting my run and grocery shopping done very early (early is the time to grocery shop, it seems!).
  • Creating my first stop action Reel.
  • Chili for dinner.

Lowlights

  • Ned getting a scratch on his ear during a cat fight on Saturday then Khali not feeling well the next day. When the cats’ feeder went off Sunday am Khali stayed in bed, so I knew something was up. She was very lethargic and didn’t want to eat her dry or wet food meal. And kept making sad little mews if I picked her up. I felt so worried about her until she started eating again at night. She seems fine today, thankfully. It’s really one step forward, four steps back with the cats getting along. UGHHHHHHHHH.
  • Being so exhausted Sunday night that I didn’t even feel like painting. I woke up too early on Sunday.
