A few highlights from the weekend!
Friday
- A package I ordered from Australia in mid September arriving. It had been so long I had forgotten what I ordered (earrings, and scrunchies, and greeting cards) so it was exciting to open it and see what was inside!
- Trying the new Impossible chicken nuggets with Steven (they’re pretty good!).
- A short nap after work.
- Starting to develop a new Reels series on my rock Instagram.
- Ordering the new holiday Goodrs.
- Completing the big rock commission order.
Saturday
- Mailing the big rock commission order and shooting the sh*t with Diana.
- Attending “Starting Native Plants from Seed” with Steven, then going on a walk after. Steven is really interesting in growing trees, and the class was good (basic, but good).
- Eating at Naf Naf Grill. Yum! We liked Middle Eastern food and don’t have it often! Everything was good except the baba ghanoush, which was absolutely disgusting.
- Clipping Ned’s nails – that means he will be staying inside for a bit! Also, it means he won’t scratch us as much.
- My new credit card coming. Someone scammed my card last week, and it kind of sucked to be without a credit card for a few days!
- Hanging out with Ned.
- Filming a new Reel.
- A short nap.
- Watching Dune again.
Sunday
- Breakfast sandwiches by Steven.
- Beautiful weather for my run.
- Catching up with Mom on the phone.
- A long bath.
- Lunch outside.
- Getting started on addressing our holiday cards.
- Publishing the first of my new Reels series (and starting to put together the second one).
Lowlights
- So many loved ones struggling right now. I wish there was more I can do. I just make sure they know I am here to listen.
- Idiot drivers. Omg. I just cannot.
- Ned not fitting in with our three other cats yet. Eek. This may take a while…
Awww, Neddy-Boy! I hope he started fitting in with the cats more. It’s hard when the balance gets disrupted with a new animal. I’ve wondered myself how my girls would do if I introduced another cat. It’s such a fine balance! But hopefully they will warm up to him! Are the cats just ignoring him?
I really hope so too. They are not ignoring him. They are hissing at him. Apollo is the worst. And Ned is chasing them.
It’s so much fun when you get unexpected packages – like a mini-birthday just on a random day of the week!
Totally!
Oh, no! I hope that Ned is more integrated now. Fingers crossed. I should read ahead, perhaps… 🙂
And also… no baba ghanoush? You can give yours to me, then! Ha.
I felt like it was getting that way, but it’s honestly about the same. At least he’s out more now, but I feel bad the other three hide from him all day in the bedroom.
You can totally have it. It was the most disgusting baba ghanoush I’ve ever tasted. It had a smoked flavor that was just horrible. I’d love you to try it and let me know if you think it’s disgusting too.
