- Ned was neutered on Tuesday and his recovery is going well! We created a cozy space for him in out downstairs bathroom.
- The vet gave me a 50% discount on the procedure and I was really excited about that since I was paying out of pocket to neuter a random stray cat!
- The cats haven’t reacted a ton – sometimes they walk by the bathroom door and hiss, and they’ve been a bit off with their eating, but that’s it so far. (And I hope it does not get worse!)
- On Saturday I was lamenting to Steven about how I cannot remember if I have taken my meds in the am and how I need some way to indicate that I have and he was like… “like with a pill box?” Ha, yes! There’s already a solution for that! I ordered one.
- I love love love my new mani from Lorena! Although I was sad to say goodbye to my spooky nails.
- The cats’ Halloween Advent Calendar has been so fun! I am definitely ordering a Christmas one if Chewy has it!
omg, NED. What a cutie! I’ve always wondered about people who get strays neutered/spayed and if they have to pay for that! Obviously, I get that SOMEONE does but it really puts all of the work you’re doing for Ned in a new light. I adopted Lila from a shelter so she was, of course, spayed but Ellie was adopted from a friend of a friend who got her spayed before she started looking for a new home for her. <3
Why is Khali's face in that last photo so funny to me??? HAHA.
I hope Chewy does a Christmas advent calendar because I am FOR SURE doing it with my girls.
I have wondered that too! Like how do they pay for it and how to do they have them recoup since they are a stray and not used to being inside?! I am glad your girls were already spayed! It’s a much more difficult recovery for them since the organs are internal!
Ha! Because she is being a totally uninterested grump!
Me too! I will send you a link when I see it ASAP. This one sold out fast!
Wow, that is really good of you to have Ned neutered and very kind of the vet to meet you halfway on the cost. I hope he is recuperating well! Do you think he will end up becoming an addition to the family or will he go back to being an outdoor wild cat?
Thanks! He is doing well! I’d like him to live indoors but Steven would like him to go back outside. I would not push to have him inside if it makes our other cats miserable.
And how are the other cats reacting to him so far? Is he still in quarantine in the bathroom?
Starbuck and Apollo hiss at him. Khali is nice to him, but he hisses at her. We’ve been letting him out, supervised and on the first floor only. 🙂
Ned looks like such a sweet cat – you are doing so much good getting him neutered! Glad they helped with the costs, though. That’s no small thing! here’s hoping he finds the place where he’s best suited – that works for the other cats, too. 🙂
He totally is! And yes, I really appreciated the discount! He’s still living here, and we are trying to get them to all get along. Eek!
