Notes:

  • I was thinking about trying a run on Tuesday (two Tuesday ago) but after work the stray cat showed up and I decided to take him to the vet to see if he was chipped. And that took up a lot of time since I am always so chatty at the vet. Oops. I’m glad I didn’t try to run – I put sneakers on to take out the trash and my left foot didn’t feel quite right in the shoe. It was still a bit swollen.
  • I was somewhat nervous about trying running on Thursday (two Thursdays ago), since my ankle was still a tiny bit poofy, but I carefully got my shoe on, tried really hard not to supinate (or trip on anything), and had a decent 2 mile run. Yay!
  • And my runs the second week all felt good. I even walked on the beach and the sand didn’t bother my ankle. It’s still tender, but doing so much better. And I had it worked out on a massage on Thursday and that really helped!
  • I signed up for the Sullivan Brothers Memorial 5K (sponsored by a museum where a friend works), so I ran that on Sunday.
